Great review, Mihael. I bought a DD Pro with 8nm and loadcells about the time you did. Whilst in operation they are great, the mouning procedure, as u pointed out, was a pain. Added to that my throttle pedal was not working on delivery, and I've read that this was not uncommon. . Fanatec support was hopeless, eventually sending a replacement, b pedal, but fark, I really dreaded repeating that woeful after-sales experience if things went wrong, and as you experienced, components do wear out or fail. I bought a Logitech G-pro wheel and pedals, and whilst not offering as much software adjustibility, the mounting experience was soooooo much easier, and the pedals offer so much physical adjustibility, and the loadcell itself is very good. The Trueforce (I know, not a pedal feature) is simply gobsmackinly good. Trust me. I don't regret sideling my Fanatec equipment for a moment.

Good VT man,and you speak very well and get to the point quickly, which is what i enjoy! Instead of waffling on for ages. I have both sets, and have modified my V3's with 'BPK' and different springs for accelerator and clutch. Which is not only good, but looks nice also (blue clutch spring) & (yellow accelerator spring) which doe's change the experience. But once you have gotten use to them,they are very good quality feeling. It is a lot of money though! I would have liked for the other users, that you could have mentioned the P.C experience where the rumble motors can be felt, unlike GT7 on the PS5. Good work anyway and much appreciated 👍🙂 I will subscribe to you as you are clear and decent contributor to the 'Sim racing world' Good content creator. Thankyou. Drew.

@@interestingvideos4046 by far the v3 especially with the break performance kit where you can adjust it to your liking unlike the super duper stiff loadcell in the csl pedals . Also the gas pedal just feels realer especially with the black stiffer springs it comes with. There is a 3rd option, the CSL V2s and if the CSL V1s are anything to go by then the V2s should be very good also with spring adjustment too, V2s are 300 Euros, Iv'e had my V1s 5 years this October and they still work fine and had no issues at all, my dilemma is what do I upgrade to V2s or V3s ! I want the V3s but I don't like the fact you can't remove the clutch without invalidating the warranty and I'm not sure by leaving the clutch on if that hinders my driving, the V2s should be slight upgrade with the new springs and hall sensor ...but I like the look of the V3s 😂 , cheers Digit

Logitech G Pro Pedals are a great alternative to V3 and lot's of those are available from $349 or "like new" with warranty for under $300 on the classifieds. And those are compatible with G29/920/923 through a Logitech G Racing Adapter and PS4/5 and you can even adjust the break sensitivity with the know on the adapter. Another great option are Elite V2s for $299 and with break kit in the box without extra costs.

Probably most people watching you are in my position and would love to see if the upgrade is worth the money. I’m sure it is. But for someone who’s about average(I’m old with slow reactions). it might be like the expensive golf club syndrome. Where only pros get the benefit.
@efenba Жыл бұрын
Kajracer used to race with a G29, and even back then he was constantly in the Top10, and I think he even qualified for GTWS. Digit had a great idea of comparing times with different equipments in this video. But his idea was just to show it isn't just about personal feelings, subjective differences, and definitely NOT to say that gear X is 1 tents faster than gear Y. So I would advise you to forget this idea of comparing a G29 with any other gear in terms of times, to compare how many tents its slower to other equipment, because 1. A G29 is fast enough. This has been proven several times. 2. You will be slower with your new gear in the first weeks. As Digit said, it takes time to adjust. So if Digit comes here saying V3s are 1s faster than G29, and for you it's the opposite (in the first weeks), how do you think you are going to react? 3. There is no definitive time difference between rigs. Digit is 1 tent faster with a V3 here, but someone could be 1 tent faster with the CSL. This also has been proven several times. So the only true comparison is you against you, and after you get used to the new equipments. 4. It's also been said multiple times that the biggest improvement with any rig change is consistency.
@starrat46 Жыл бұрын
@@efenba the point I was making is that Digit has the skills and consistency to fairly compare the 2, I don’t. Do I think they will make me faster? Maybe not, maybe yes. But there is no way I could compare them fairly with my skill level. Secondly, I wasn’t asking for a personal, subjective view of which is better. More a technical breakdown of ten laps by someone who can string them together within a tenth of each other. Thirdly. I am well aware that there are tour drivers that can compete on pad or cheaper equipment, stop being so condescending. Oh, and before I forget. Thanks for your input.

Hello digit. Can I ask you if you have had any issues with the loadcell slowly creeping up on its own without any foot on the pedal causing the brakes to come on?. I've tried setting the dead zone to 15% and within 30/45 mins its actually going beyond that and starting to activate the brakes on the straight and it's frustrating the hell out of me...I had read somewhere that you could try to re route the cable so that it's not near the other cables...does that actually help? Any tips would be great because ATM I feel like I've wasted £150 on a loadcell that's broken...its brand new BTW direct from fanatec

No the cables don't matter that much, as long as they're not under too much stress. What I think you should try is to connect it to the PC, update the firmware, and then recalibrate the brake pedal. if that doesn't work, I would open a ticket and get to Fanatec support team.

@@DigitRacingDGyou mean a much better pedal is the V3 for the same price of 299 that the V2 usually sells for? Is V3 much better than V2? Is the clubsport v3 worth it as stock for 400 euros? Brake performance kit etc would be super expensive to import to Norway
@DigitRacingDG10 ай бұрын
When exporting good from EU country to non-EU country taxes are deducted from the product price. I checked and the base price price would be €348.06 (with delivery), which is 3 947.00 NOK. Then you would pay VAT of 25%. So total price would be 4 933.75 NOK or €430.33. This is almost equal to EU price. Of course, customs procedure could be an additional charge that is usually no more than 30 euros. Hope this helps. Also you can check fees on this site: www.toll.no/en/services/import-calculator/

Shouldnt the V3’s have a little rumble kit on the back of the throttle and brake?
@anticommoncore4065 Жыл бұрын
Look at video 4:56. See the two round silver objects with the black circular band, at the top of the throttle and brake pedal? Those are the rumble motors. If you look closely, you can see a cam lobe like weight on the motor shaft of each motor. Those rumble motors are mounted upside down, with the shaft and its weight pointed down and motor pointing up. Being that the weight is purposely not balanced on the motor shaft, when it spins it creates a vibration onto the pedal. I own the V3's and you really don't notice the vibrations much. I just bought the CSL Elite V2's for $199 as a backup to the V3's, and to see whether I would prefer the V2 brake pedal over the V3 brake pedal.

@@КириллМихеичев After 7 months using the V2's I'm going back to the V3's. I still prefer the V3 brake a little more than the V2. There is a very slight side to side movement under heavy braking on the V2 pedal. Might be the alloy arm flexing slightly whereas I don't feel it on the steel V3 pedal. I also prefer the V3 load cell with Performance kit. I also prefer the V3 clutch when shifting classic cars on PC2. I also prefer the heavier spring included with V3 accelerator pedal. Then there is the added bonus of the pedal vibration motors, as they go well with the Formula V2.5 wheel vibration motors. But as a backup for my V3's, they're a quick temp replacement if needed.
