I have a Beta 200 RR 2-stroke and I dented the radiators - works well. I ride it as a trials bike most of the time so it made sense for me - for faster stuff I can still turn out the limiting bolts and rise the front forks to make it more stable for faster tracks. I also don't see the need for KYB front forks for hobby riders since most re-valve these to be softer anyway. The only mod I will be getting for the rear shock - is the gas reservoir - had issues with it when the air temperatures were high. The shock got very stiff and I was told that the piston just started to stick. Also swapped the clutch master for a 9mm since I like the trials bike clutch feel.

@@TheDirtbikeRider Yes. But I have to get the springs changed for my weight (I am 75kg with all my gear and 3L of water :D). My friends who ride new KTM or GasGas have the internals heavily tuned (swapped to regular springs) on forks and some have KYB internals for WP forks.

I just bought a 23 300rr with 15hr on it, all the good points people say… the motor is an animal but for me the bike is a sky scraper especially at the rear it’s 2 inches taller than my mx husky I’m sure it’s a really good bike for people over 5,10 and heavy but my little legs are struggling, I’m 12 stone in kit but can’t get the rider sag anywhere near correct on stock spring, I didn’t think the forks where that good either I’m probs gonna sell and get a 300tpi probs a gas gas with a lowering link and enjoy the much better brembos and gear levers that don’t fall off all the time and much less vibration in the pegs hmm I’m not sold

It’s making more stable bike and you can really feel it, And i don’t feel the bike is less agile. Maybe in muddy terrain you will feeling it because mud will stick to tire. I'm weighing 92 kg dry so without equipment, so for me the sag is a little bit too soft and so are the compression and rebound settings even with the KYB fork on the 2022 model. I put a 13x48 sprocket and it fits perfectly for a 2nd gear. I love this bike so much. More than my previous 2021 Sherco 300 2 stroke factory. Easier and stronger. I will do some mods like you did. Don't agree with you on Nissin brakes. They are really much much weaker than Brembo, you need to press the lever twice as hard to have same stopping power, at least the Nissin I had on my Yamaha yz250x. Now on my KTM 150sx with brembo I can easily lock the front wheel with just slight pressure of one finger (had to use 2 finger with full power to make a stoppie on Yamaha)
@TheDirtbikeRider
@TheDirtbikeRider 2 жыл бұрын
hmm maybe it depends on the bike, for now they work and i can easily lock front wheel with just small pull on front brake without effort
@jonnyhumphreys9133

You're the first I've seen say that. Most complain they are too grabby and make the front lock up...too strong...not that they are too weak. I use 1 finger and still have to be very careful.
@DenisElpashev
@DenisElpashev 2 жыл бұрын
@@jonnyhumphreys9133 What bike do you have? Maybe they are a little different on different bikes, on my YZ250X it was really weak whatever I tried, changing brake pads, rotor, installing braided line, even changing the caliper completely (thought it might be damaged somehow), still had to use 2 fingers to be able to lock the wheel on speed. It wasn't big of a problem though, stopping power was good on the trails, just couldn't do stoppies with one finger... Now on KTM with Brembo brakes I can easily lock the wheel with slightest pull...

im still unsure why a 2 stroke is preferred for anything but drag racing. what can a 2 stroke do enduro/hillclimb wise that a 450f cant do. lighter maybe? maybe im just stupid and clueless about enduro
@Scottymuffins
@Scottymuffins 2 жыл бұрын
The characteristics of the 2 strokes lend themselves nicely to enduro/hard enduro riding. If you rode all day on a decently technical trail with a newer 250/300 2 stroke and then did the same ride on a 450 you’d understand I think. 450’s are amazing but theyre a lot to handle in tight technical terrain and they overheat easily. The 300 isn’t a slouch either but At the end of the day it’s all preference but there’s a reason you see very few 4 strokes on the tougher hard enduro races. Even the best in the world choose the 300 in most enduro/hard enduro races over 4 strokes
@bluegrassbassing3790
@bluegrassbassing3790 2 жыл бұрын
Much lighter and lug much easier. 450s have such light flywheels they “flame out” but they don’t thrive as a slower revving bike like a trail 2t can
@1991enduro
@1991enduro 2 жыл бұрын
2 strokes produce a lot of torque low down in the gear and a lot of bhp power on top plus they are light and cheaper to fix than a four stroke and your mentioning a track race bike a lot different you would get fatigued quicker on that heavy ass 450
@onthethrottle7104
@onthethrottle7104 2 жыл бұрын
Well, there is a good reason why they use only two stroke on hard enduro. Four strokes are heavy, they stall out and the power is not good for slow moving hard trails at all. Think of where you need something that's light, and that loves to live in high RPM range - four strokes hate high RPM and in low RPM they stall out.
