One of the best things about Jeremy's channel is his humility and honesty. He never edits out or hides his mistakes. He shows us that we can work through our "happy accidents", and they might even become something awesome. Excessive perfection can be daunting for us muggles.

Jeremy and Scotty were the two main channels that inspired me to start documenting my own builds on youtube! Love these two guys

Scotty and Jeremy have been a huge inspiration to my crafting and, now, my own channel. Thank you both so much!

BMC is what got me into all these crafting vids. The spooky intro music, acrylic paint, heavy on the foam crafting is what drew me in. It wasn't over the top or too flashy and made the mood comfortable like a Bob Ross episode.

Jermey's channel is why I got into terrain crafting for my gaming group. Without watching his builds, I would never have made my own washes, gotten a Proxxon foam cutting table (or heard of Proxxon at all!), or ever done anything beyond painting minis. Now my group has trees, houses, an inn, a couple of multi-floor towers, modular cliffs, dungeon tiles, various columns and menhirs, dungeon doorways, wells, camp site items, and a lot more. We do a lot of washable marker on a battle mat, then place built terrain for flavor or to establish blockage of sight lines. All thanks to me starting to watch a channel that KZbin happened to recommend to me one day out of the blue.

"I like building terrain more than I like playing." Thanks for saying it, Jeremy. Now I feel a little bit less like a freak. :)

Add me to the list of those that started crafting because of the BMC channel. I found the DM Scotty stuff (and numerous other channels) from there. I love how so many of these crafters have their own niche in the field. For example, no crafter does more with less than Scotty! The brilliant innovations and ideas found here always get me itching to try something new.

"Just build something"; best advice ever. Don't prevaricate, don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good, just build something and finish whatever you build and if it's not as good as it could have been, it doesn't matter. Your friends will be way less critical of it than you and your next piece will be better!

It really is kinda bonkers how many people TALK about doing something and then just never do. People will waste their time and most importantly other people's time by simply just never actually doing anything.

A bit of interesting lore. I gave Black Magic Craft some of the bits that he used for his first Torment build. So...in a very real way Blandco is an integral part of the Torment project.

I love the video quality on this interview, among other things. I'd much rather the format look like this than the live Zoom conference look. Loved this interview!

Thanks Dave, I agree. It allows the interview to get down to business quickly and efficiently and as you note looks much better than a Zoom stream.

It's good to see two great masters, masters of crafts together sharing experiences. I first found you Scotty, who with the prestige of others you are the patriarch of craftsmanship, then I found Jeremy, then Wyloch, then TheDMGinfo and many more. You are a great inspiration for us, thanks from the bottom of my heart and covering a phrase from Obi Wan Kenobi and Yoda: May the craft be with you.
