The most beautifully shot series I've seen in a long time. If viewers took the time to understand & feel the meaning behind each scene, it would've received much higher ratings, as it so deserved. As I rated a 10 on Viki & commented, there are way to many spoiled BL fans out there. They weren't expecting an adult story, showing what it was really like for Ake to go through the struggles of understanding who he was & this being his first love. Every emotion shown in the long stares was very intense for me, wondering what they were thinking & feeling. This series couldn't have been more perfect. Congratulations to all the cast, directors, writers, producers & crew for a job well done.

I love how in the current culture if you do not have the same opinion as someone else you become a spoiled bl fan. I have seen over 50 series this last year and reviewed many of them, Bite Me could have been a great series but it had many problems. The producers were new to bl, as well as the director and the main actor, who was not a fan of bl and because of that I think it had some inpack on their decisions. The series had a beautiful look, the sets were fantastic, the cinematography was fantastic, the actors were great. The bad was the pacing was so so slow that it was painful to watch at times but at the sometime they left out scenes that were really important to the story. I do not know who did the editing, if it was the director it was not good. Also I went and read the original book because I was so frustrated by their story telling in the series. The book was really focused around the cooking competition and the story of the different people in it. They switched it to be more about the restaurant and it created a problem of how to deal with all the other characters back stories. The relationship between Aek and the Chef was handled badly. The scene where Aek goes to the Chefs house for dinner was totaly different in the book from the series, they did not have that drama. If was so stupid and out of context. The Chef had already gone to Aek's house and meet his mother and she aproved. In the book Aek loved the chef but wanted to prove himself in the competition that he could be on his level. There was not this sexual idenity issue in the book. In fact when he went to the Chef's house, the chef was very respectful of him and they slept in seperate rooms, but he still dreamed about doing it with the chef. It was like they felt they had to create a drama before the end, the typical bl trope. If they wanted to include a sexual idenity issue story line, do they really think a 21 year old Thai delievery driver does not know what is up when a guy starts giving him looks of love or shows up at his mothers house. He would have regected him the first time. This is not a mature story, just a stupid one. If you want to see a story about cooking and love, check out My Sweet Dear the Korean bl. Not the best but a lot better than Bite Me. I would have liked to have rated Bite Me better but it just had to many problems, I understand peoples complaints. If you love it, great.

I agree that its not the best bl out there but it certainly is better than most bl. And for you to call it a stupid story just because it doesnt fit your idea of a good story is not really the way to go about it. Sure there’s a lot to improve but I can count just how many bl out there which needs more improvement not only on the storyline but also everything else but are still loved. People enjoyed and love it, that’s all it counts. And no, I also dont agree with calling people spoiled bl fans and you are entitled to not like the drama as much as I am entitled to love it.
