So strange coming across this afterlife incident. I am not 54 but in my childhood I had a preoccupation with Lou Gehrig as far back as I can remember and I was not nearly the baseball buff as Christian Haupt. Growing up in the 70's there was no internet or VCR's and the only way I could have known of Gehrig is on rabbit ears TV by happenstance which I must have seen quite randomly - but it always stuck to this day. Now I've seen all the videos and internet and know all about him and he is one of my all time favorite people that has ever lived - the guy is solid gold inside and out. I am a big believer in reincarnation, the afterlife and such and I am convinced we must have lived that life together and are somehow related and actually being guided by him - I have many.

Whether or not the rest of the story is legit, it is true that the relationship between Gehrig and Ruth was VERY strained for years. According to John Eisenberg's book "The Streak: Lou Gehrig,Cal Ripken Jr., and Baseball's Most Historic Record," when Gehrig joined the Yankees he initially admired Ruth and welcomed his friendship. But Gehrig was a straight arrow introvert who came to disapprove of Gehrig's (in)famous womanizing, rebelliousness and heavy drinking -- it was not uncommon for Ruth to play with a hangover. It was rumored Ruth flirted with Gehrig's wife while an All-Star team traveled to Japan. There was a falling out between Ruth's second wife and Gehrig's mother, who had been friendly with Ruth's first wife; when Ruth told Gehrig his mother should mind her own business, Gehrig was furious at Ruth. The two men further distanced themselves from each other, with Ruth forbidding anyone in his family to speak to anyone in Gehrig's family. And Gehrig, who stayed in good shape, resented the carousing Ruth's repeated public criticism of his consecutive games streak. Probably the fault lay, as in many acrimonious relationships, on both sides, but Gehrig did have plenty of reason to dislike Ruth. The bad blood between them eased when Gehrig's illness became known, with Ruth speaking graciously of his former teammate. And from some (admittedly brief) Internet research, it sounds as if train travel was indeed the usual means of transportation for baseball teams before flying became the norm, in the late 1950's, two decades after Gehrig's retirement.

I live in Ghana and my traditional society believes in reincarnation. Though i'm a christian, i do believe it too and i think God is the one who will decide whether to comeback or not when one dies after doing good on earth. I'm not surprised about this kid
@kelleymariejones63885 жыл бұрын
junejuly532 I have heard far more convincing stories on reincarnation and this is as fishy as catfish. Why can’t people whose children had this experience with reincarnation go on a talk about it without the parents believing their own hype by writing a freakin book about it?!

Why was everyone so important and famous in a past life, they were never just a farmer.

Some Asian kid was He was like 3 when he started talking about his past life which was a basic shit job with the same boring cycle when one day he was riding his bike to work and some dude rode up behind him and shot him 3 times in the back It was a real event and stuff and the kid remembered his life vividly and he also remembered the exact places he got shot, the clothes he was wearing, what colour the bike was, etc. The shooting happened in another country with another language but the kid could remember the language and even remembered a special poem his mom made for him which the kid would have had literally no chance to hear it considering its in another language and in a another country, he was able to know what each word meant but like he was 3 and there was no way how he could know another language if the current mom never taught it It's a pretty interesting story and it made me believe in reincarnation because the odds of his current mom to teach her 3 year old son all that information about some random guy who got killed in another country

See what? Just because he was Gehrig in a previous life does not mean he'll be a pro ball player in this life. He may grow out of it and finish what he started 90 years ago.

Typical Americans, they think everything is Paranormal before considering that maybe her son is a Baseball Prodigy! There are kids who are born with great talents. And, of course she had to write a book which will be a nice little earner for her!

It's interesting how none of these kids was ever just a regular guy. Nooooooooo. It's always someone that was a hero of some kind or a famous personality that a tiny percentage of kids that have the ability to recall a past life, recall.
@adventuresinthebay84874 ай бұрын
Actually, most of the kids recall being a regular Joe-Shmoe. The reincarnated WWII fighter pilot was totally unknown.

I understand that there are logical mental answers to kids with "reincarnation" stories and I do believe that happens a lot, but I also believe in reincarnation because of stories like this. Even IF these kids had, by chance, seen a documentary or something I just don't believe they would remember so many details, and details that probably wouldn't even be mentioned, consistently and so accurately. It's truly fascinating to me. Most kids with stories like this are not even talking about a celebrity so there would be absolutely no reason for them to know.

hero killer stain yeah whatever, this was manipulative and a heist to a book promotion and sale. I think by talking to the child about this ball player she had manipulated the boy to believe he was reincarnated as him. Their little minds are sponges and they take in everything said to them. I do believe some kids have a gift of knowledge to their past lives, not this one, not by fault of the child, but the parent!

I believe in reincarnation (Heaven and hell, too) and I'm a follower of Jesus (Christian). The early Christians taught it. Its real.... Go to God *(the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob)* and ask Him to give you more revelation on this!
@kelleymariejones63885 жыл бұрын
applebug I am a follower of Jesus Christ as well, but wouldn’t label myself as Christian only because so many false Christians have given it a bad reputation, I chose to be called Follower of Christ and His teachings.. Every generation gets a revelation of truth, and becomes able to see beneath scaled eyes what is truths about the universe and we have to be careful about what Satan reveals as truth, he has always been a liar since the fall of man. Not everything was put into the Bible, they try to protect us from chaos, it could be thought of as manipulative and controlling, sometimes it is, but we have a Holy Spirit that helps discern a truth.
