I can barely stand each day as it comes now after my wife passed, I can't imagine the torture of never aging of seeing the world and the people you love slip away. I honestly can't wait until it's my turn to take that first step into the last great mystery we have, I truly hope and have faith I'll see my wife again.

Just seeing this comment. I am truly, truly sorry for your loss. I am sure there are people who love you, and don’t want your day to come any faster than it has to. I hope you’re able to find a little joy and live for your wife.

Without a doubt the best scene in the movie. The structure, the cinematography, the music, the narration. Everything combines to make this a beautiful, soothing, haunting bridge from the every day to the awe inspiring. Well done; well done.

My top 5 changes over time as I watch new films, and as I mature and my taste changes. But this remains at the top. One that comes to mind that I've watched several times is "About Time". Wow, what a great film that is. And "Amélie", a French movie. Watched it countless times.

It reminds me of when my father and I were watching Death Becomes Her and when Ernest was about to drink the potion, he realized the pitfalls of immortality. Especially when he said what will he do if he gets lonely or bored, and having to watch everyone around him die. That is a nightmare !! My father was only 58 when watching this with me and he couldn’t agree more with Ernest !! I have just turned 22 and now I will try to live my life and be reunited with my father up in heaven !! 🥺🥺♥️♥️✨✨

No you wouldn't, having to live through life watching every single one your loved ones die and move on while you are stuck. I mean think about it, even having a child knowing you will outlive them, and going through life falling in love with someone only to leave them later because you can never grow old with them, and so much more. In the end you would just wish for your life to be over because you can't take it any more. On top of that, just like Adeline, you would have to constantly change your identity so nobody tries to experiment on you like you're some kind of science project instead of a human being because someone recognizes your name from you being a 29 year old in the 60s and you are still living as a 29 year old through the 2000s. It would all be such a hassle.

Quite the elegantly beautiful movie. Sadly, telomere shortening is a symptom of aging not a cause. Preventing telomere shortening will not stop aging. Telomeres are but one building block in a countless conglomerate of parts & processes that makes life possible.
