I have to admit that I always had a love-hate relationship with Elena.. I was never an Elena stan... But throughout this past year (even tho she wasn't even on the show) I have started to respect her more.. Sometimes I feel like l hate her bc she is the most relatable out of Barolena... Most people hate her bc she cries all the time.. She cries bc out of all the other she express her feelings to the ones she loves bc she knows that they will get it.. That's the difference between Elena and the other tvd characters.. The other choose not to express how much painful do they really feel and keep it all the themselves.. Aw thank you! And that's a great point you made! Elena is very in touch with her emotions, more so than the other characters. Honestly, I personally never felt like she cried too much. If a normal human being had lost their adoptive parents, biological parents, their aunt, their guardian (Alaric e.g.), their brother, their boyfriend, their best friend (even If It was just for a couple of months in the actual show) - I'm pretty sure they would have cried too. So I honestly think that Elena's strength is very much underappreciated

This is perfect I have no words. Thank you so much for making this one and the one for Damon. By the end of the show, the way it was written, especially the last 2 seasons, I didn't care much for anyone else except these two tbh. I'm still so mad they continued the show without Elena (good thing is they failed lol) and watching this video it shows perfectly Elena was the soul of TVD. Without her nothing made sense. Her kindness, selflessness, her capacity for love and forgiveness is one of the most beautiful things on TVD. And you showed it all in these minutes so thank you. just finished season 6. honestly she is the best character with stefan. nina and Paul were perfect for capturing and being the best protagonists. season 6 elena is the best I think. She truly is in her path, confident and in good relationship with herself and damon and jeremy. also with a career path. she was there for everyone and the goodbyes are just so sad. she truly was the heart, the best connection of each and everyone. i remember that I watched the show for caroline and klaroline and damon. all great things obviously but I ended up loving elena. and i see the fandom really not liking her and all kinds of things. i get it i probably thought she was annoying at times too. I just think it’s when you grow up and you watch it you really change your opinions and see clearly. like how Stefan is the protagonist and the better best brother. it’s just a fact. people preferred damon more and that’s okay i loved him too and delena probably more than stelena. and now rewatched and she really is the best main character out there. and I think that’s all because of nina. she really is magic. you can see and it makes sense that elena is the main character and how it’s about her and all the characters being intertwined with her. she is so positive and fun and friendly and has such an open heart and open hand and will help any one. she is the mature mom friend who everyone loves and listens to for advice and will always have a hug and a kind word to say. i think the triangle took a lot to define her by the fans. but I personally never cared to define her by her relationships. yea going for damon is a very degrading move, damon was already degraded lol. but I think it’s a supernatural show and these three are like heart head blood of the story. and being so intertwined in this way it’s only fitting. and season 6 really brought the best out of everyone. so I didn‘t mind it. she was the it girl. in every sense. again nina deserved more to feel the love of this character, because she really put it all and she is this character because of her. icon
