+ACTUALLYRICH Me too! I can go from listening to Iron Maiden and Metallica... to this. It's beautiful. Also, it's a fact that people who listen to metal music are actually kind of heart, and emotional, so it's no surprise you like this song as much as I do. Beauty is beauty, whether it be in metal music, or soft pop music. This song always reminds me of the beautiful memories I had with my wife...I can't believe she's gone :'(

This is the first time I’ve posted something on KZbin comments of any video whatsoever. However, after noticing that Donna herself replies on here, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t praise this masterpiece of pure, delightful, cheerful and devastatingly inspiring rom-pop. I’m 42 now, and back then I was only 13. I remember being quirky, a somewhat cantankerous young lad living in the Colombian Caribbean, and quite frankly, a bit of a love fool in the makings. I’ll LOVE this song until the day I grab the dirt blanket😅.

There’s just something in the way this song builds over the course of 4 minutes. We get these lovely, poetic verses that still retain a sense of melody, the ear candy of the chorus, and that absolute banger of a bridge. The fact that it melts away with a softer chorus is so satisfying after all that. Much more staying power than most other songs that came from this era.

Oh darn it!!! Just stumbled on this song this morning.... I remember it like it was yesterday! October 1996 when my girlfriend and I parted ways after our graduation from the varsity. I got a placement offer in England, while she went to the US. We both knew it was going to be hard and perhaps next to impossible for our lives to meet again and be together forever once we left the city we were in... on our separate ways. That evening before our flights' departure, we went to dinner where this song played as we tried to eat our meals. Can't remember what we order or ate or how it tasted, except that we were balling our eyes out crying and were a spectacle at this high-end restaurant. The maître' d had to come twice to check on us and asked if we wanted to be moved to a privacy enclosure in the restaurant. It's hard to forget to those days no matter how many years have gone by. It's been 25 years since that event...we do try and remain in touch sometimes over the phone, as acquaintances though. Don't know why I thought I should share this, but I am teary-eyed as I type this. 90s had great memories to cherish...especially this song.

I am truly ashamed Donna, I never realised that you like I are, WELSH!! I used to listen to this every morning at 4am driving home from working for Cable & Wireless Plc. Even the M4 motorway Police used to listen to this after pulling me over to ask where I was going at such an early time everyday.

This sounds very 80's-ish despite being released in 1996. I used to hear it on the radio all the time back then. I was only 11-12 years old then.

Truly a masterpiece. Something you'll rarely see in today's music. This song reminds me so much of my Mom. Miss her so much.

Also reminds me of my Mam, she would play this for me as a baby.

***** That's so sweet. My mom used to do the same when I was a baby as well. :)

I sat on bus and opened wide the window and let the wind punch my face while listening this song back in my teenage, love that moment when life wasnt too over populated and problems are less complicated and , fresh air is everywhere
