I saw the Doors several times at the Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood back in the 60s. I think at one time they were the house band. When my son grew up, in the 90s, he told me that Robby Krieger was his favorite guitarist. A few months later I saw that Robby was going to be playing in my town. So I got tickets and took my son. He was bowled over by the concert and we went back stage to see if we could talk to him. He was so nice and gracious and took the time out to talk to my son about playing guitar. He really encouraged him. Robby is so talented and such a great guy.

Robby, I remember the first time I smoked hash, I got into my bed with my headphones on and listened to Spanish Caravan, and I was blown away. Loved the Flamenco solo and the electric guitar solo and effects I remember Jim's last refrain at the very end of the song, "Take Me, Spanish Caravan, yes I know you can", and then some really weird echo/delay from the instruments as the song faded out. Truly psychedelic!!! Definitely one of my favorite Doors songs of all time. You ARE the Maestro!

SALUDOS!

Robbie The End lesson! Love how you play that tune in your drop D specialty. Thanks for all the posts! Say hi to Doug Quil for me if you see him. I'm stuck in Cambodia! Actually a good place to be right now low covid cases. Cheers
