Great video, the explanations are great, a video that really should be seen by more people who want to improve their arts.

I've been copying from photos like a maniac for almost a year without learning much anything about imaginative drawing. The way you've broken down the process to making a successful illustration the "intuitive" way felt like a breakthrough moment for me. Here's to starting from square 0 but doing it right this time.

Yeah! Starting from square 0 is my fav place

Great video Alex! "Sketching is trying to find a solution for something", this is so true, make things looks believable is our goal ahah

Thanks Alex! Yeah you have to keep believen, how hard is is, but eventually we'll get there ;)

Excellent work! The video has a high quality feel overall. But what you mentioned about contrast with the paper makes sense, never thought about it that way.

Took me some long thought but happy to hear it’s clear for you. Do you draw a lot on paper? You might give grey paper a try, works pretty nice

Man this is just what I needed to hear, I often times feel so afraid to even try drawing something because I know it won't look great and it won't be a finished art piece, but this really helps me get to draw without so much fear.

I feel you! I think we all that fear, which actually makes art worth the whole game doesn't it. Keep it up! you're worth it

Pleasant explaination, clear and insightful. But a bit much for one lesson trough. Still it shows that witch sketching vague ideas can be made visible and meaningful.

Thanks, yeah I try to share as much knowledge as a I can, but I could think a bit more about what to share. Let me give it some thought.
