گلوں میں رنگ بھرے، بادِ نو بہار چلے چلے بھی آؤ کہ گلشن کا کاروبار چلے، (تم آ جاؤ تاکہ پھولوں میں رنگ اور نکھار آئے، نئی بہار کے موسم کی ہوا چلے۔ تم آؤ گے تو باغ سر سبز و شاداب ہوگا۔ اور دنیا کا کام چلے گا۔ ) قفس اداس ہے یارو صبا سے کچھ تو کہو کہیں تو بہرِ خدا آج ذکر یار چلے، (قید خانے میں اداسی ہے۔ ہوا سے کہو کہ خدا کے واسطے( بہر خدا)، کہیں سے میرے محبوب کی کوئی خبر لے آؤ۔) جو ہم پہ گزری سو گزری مگر شبِ ہجراں ہمارے اشک تیری عاقبت سنوار چلے، (تنہائی کی تاریک زندگی میں ہماری تو جیسے تیسے گزر گئی۔ لیکن ہماری اس قربانی سے یہ وقت امر ہو گیا. یعنی ہم نے تو مشکل اٹھائی مگر ہمارے آنسوؤں نے اس تاریک وقت کی عاقبت سنوار دی) مقام فیض کوئی راہ میں جچا ہی نہیں جو کٌوئے یار سے نکلے تو سوئے دار چلے ( فیض، ہمیں کوئی اور جگہ پسند نہیں آئی۔ جب محبوب کی گلی سے نکالے گئے تو دنیا میں جینا بے کار تھا۔ اس لئے سولی پہ چڑھ گئے۔ )
