For being an Asian American actress who got her start in the entertainment industry at a time when there was no real talk about discrimination, stereotyping, and lack of roles for non-white actors, etc I'm sure Lucy has experienced her fair share of really awful things. I love seeing her so full of light and happiness, it really speaks to her character. And my jaw dropped when I looked up her age... she has seriously found the fountain of youth!

yes, she really paved the way for asian-american actresses and is unique in this respect. She could've so easily fallen into the trap of being stereotyped and pigeon-holed, yet she's played an array of diverse roles that aren't rooted in her ethnicity and/or appearance. also, it doesn't hurt as well, that by the looks of things, all her co-stars past and present don't have a nasty word to say about her. She seems very liked and esteemed amongst her colleagues. she's also a pocket-rocket who will take on any challenge: theatre, film, art, directing, etc....people this tenacious and fearless deserve all their success!

Of course by then I started college so I was a bit busy. I learned to love the 5th season after a few viewings on Netflix years later (too bad they took it down. Is it on Hulu or Parmount+ or something?).
