So good to see you dumped that aneroid. Now the pump can give full/max fuel when you stand on it. Might blow a bit of smoke until boost comes on but so be it. We get Nissan TD42 engines here in Patrols and you throw a big turbo on an NA engine wind the pump up (VE) bigger exhaust maybe an increase in injector pressure and away they go like a scalded cat with no aneroid/ALDA/boost control. Its simply to make engines cleaner out of the Exht pipe and possibly smoother power delivery. But Ive dun 100's without having to fit an aneroid to them. There is a CAV boost control off certain injector pumps that I want to fit to my lil brothers Merc pump. 100% adjustable and tuneable.

Glad to hear you found the problem. Reminds me of my 1979 Chevy 3/4 ton 4X4, 454 RV cam, Detroit locker, 4:10 gears, truck would virtually idle up or shoot up anywhere. Enjoy!

Depends who you ask on the internet, some say it's an altitude compensator, some say it's to reduce smoke on take off... The manual says it's never to be touched... I say it's trash lol
