I worked in New York in the financial district for 5 years. I was all over the city doing all kinds of things. It was great while it lasted. There was always something new and different to do. Would I say, I love NYC? No. It was more like an adventure and then it was over. And I didn't/don't feel sad leaving it behind. I am thankful to say that I experienced it, but I never felt like I wanted to go back, even a little. That was then, and I am on to different adventures now.

Wow. Just. Wow... My best guess is that this was made around 7:45am - 8:15am, Sunday, October 25th. Got there based on the angle of eastern light, specific shades of the foliage, and the surreal lack of traffic on the streets which means it could only be an early Sunday or Saturday morning. Am I close?? Very curious! I live on 61st near CPW and see this building every day- can trace the exact route I walk my dog in parts of this footage. Wild to see how incredibly different it all looks from this angle. Thanks so much for sharing, & look forward to seeing more!

I don't think they're necessary. I think it's real estate speculation with space available at some point in time. Why? That's some serious steel up there! And concrete floors with rebar! ALL attached very, very strongly. AND there's all that weight pulling down on those upper levels! That building . . . ALL these buildings just aren't going anywhere! Once again, that's some serious steel up there.

@georgesealy47063 жыл бұрын
I agree. It's not where I would want to be. If I had the money to afford that space, then I would have real space, like a thousand acres in Montana.

I’ve been inside one of the WTC towers on the top floors during the storm last summer, it actually feels pretty safe. The windows they used shield you completely from the weather outside, you barely hear any wind or rain. It was especially odd, because there was another tower under construction right next to it and I clearly saw how the top floors there, which only had a concrete shell by then, were hammered by the weather.
@rhythmfield3 жыл бұрын
I think the whole concept of building these as residential buildings is slightly insane and completely lacking real vision. I wonder if the designer of this building would actually purchase an apartment there if he could afford it? Very likely not.
