Such heavy beautiful music. I remember hearing this in a little café next to this weird little bar I was playing at on one of my endless tours. I couldn’t imagine what it could possibly be, sounded like something recorded in the 60s and buried in the sand on a dirty beach. When I asked the guy at the register what it was he told me and it was like digging up buried treasure

It sounds terrible without any context whatsoever. But you can say that about almost anything. For many, the 'context' is nostalgia (growing up listening to certain styles). Dirty beaches can be mesmerizing, but I still end up feeling uneasy, and that's not easy to take in. I respect the artist, I just can't stand listening to this.
