I first visited Dubai in 1975. The gold souk was VERY different then! First time I'd been somewhere you were EXPECTED to haggle over the price. Daily gold price and manufacturing costs had to be taken into account, but by and large you'd get a fair price, as soon as you told the shop owner you were off a ship, and not a tourist. The souk with all the spices etc was fascinating too. I remember Seddiqi and Sons store n 1978, always busy and you could still get a bit of discount if you were paying cash, not card. I used to love the trip across the Creek on the little boats. After shopping, a trip to the Ambassador or Astoria was compulsory. Thank you for an interesting video.

I am getting addicted to these amazing watch videos, during corona the watch industry has skyrocket mostly because of youtube I think. I didn't even know any watch name other than Rolex but now I know many names and how they are made and then the grey market. The content is super solid.

RM up close looks horrendous compared to all the other watches shown today. I’m sure RM is the ultimate flipper brand. Who’d want to wear one of those for no other reason than posing. Any person who isn’t a watch lover wouldn’t look twice at that RM with all those steel, gold & platinum pieces. That’s just my opinion as I love the traditional watch look. Superb video again.

Moin Niko, There is no shortage of Rolex watches! Rolex should find a way to sell the timepieces only to customers who appreciate them and don’t want to make a quick profit on the grey market! 😡 Best regards, Claus

Actually that full gold rootbeer isn't hard to get at all. Waitlist around the world maybe 1-4 months. Perhaps the coolest contemporary Rolex.

Wonderful green suitcase watch collection of the store owner made of Rolexes, AP, and Patek. The $315,000 Price for the rubber band toy-looking Richard Mille is ridiculous.

That RM looked like a something from a Cracker Jack box. Totally an example of "The Emperor's New Clothes" Great episode. Love seeing cool travel destinations.

Bro you missed Mashoom! Was literally in the middle of the souk! They had a 10x better collection than this!!! I went 2 weeks ago from the UK and picked up a full rose gold root beer! Please go back and check them out and ask for Hiran!!! They had the rarest of rarest pieces!!!
