My Dad always played the Dubliners and I remember this one distinctly from when I was a kid. Just this afternoon, Dad and my brother were playing this on the guitars while we sang and we're from South London lol. The music of today has just a negative, dark base and this is just jolly and gets you smiling wanting to dance! Love it

In merseyside in 1975, i was 10. Irish grandparents x4, mum had 4 sisters n losadsa cousin then. Me dad also had 4 sisters, loadsa more cousins. Irish music all day every day back then..

My dad visited Cork in 1997, brought home CD labeled The best of Dubliners, 20 songs on it including this one as well as the irish metal flute. I loved those songs from the moment I've heard them.

Since I was little I have listened to this group, I love Irish music. This song is one of my favorites, it brings me a lot of joy, I never get tired of listening to it. The Dubliners is a wonderful group.
