One thing they left out about Doomsday is that he can adapt to things while fighting. Like when he fought Super Boy (a clone of Superman), and Doomsday just strait up learned how to fly just because Super Boy could fly. Also Doomsday one time became so powerful that he beat the shit out of True Form Darseid so much that Darseid became afraid of Doomsday and he begged Super Man to save him from Doomsday.

Darkseid: Thanos was created by Marvel in response to DC's Darkseid. Darkseid is a god(part of the new gods) that is pretty much the main villain of the whole DC Comics. You can try to say that Lex Luthor is the main villain, but Darkseid puts Lex to shame. Essentially Darkseid is what would happened if you combined Odin, Hulk, Tony Stark and Hella. You'll be watching Thanos and Darkseid fight soon enough in DB. I would advise that you don't say "Darkseid is a copy of Thanos", you will get torn to shreds by the comics fans lol

It's honestly unfair on how powerful some of these gods are for the DC Comics but also makes kind of sense that if you are going to give someone a god level then you need to make them into a god level being. Loki (from the MCU) is considered to be a demi-god, but he's not really that either. He is a mutant Jotunn (Frost giant) that was adopted by Odin, the King of a Asgard. As far as most anthropologists, historians, and language experts are concerned Loki was no association with any particular element. If anything, he should be associated with water, animals, or earth. Logi, who you mentioned, is literally the only reason Loki is associated with fire. Its like how everyone keeps calling the Kraken a Greek monster because of the 1981 Clash of the Titans movie, it's 2010 remake, and Rose of the Titans (the sequel to the 2010 remake).

People love this episode both for the analysis (which is clear, direct, and yet detailed, covers multiple bases, and gives ample time to the backstories, in my opinion it's one of the show's finest) and the battle (two piles of meat punching each other sounds boring, so it being done so creatively was a wonderful surprise). And yes, in a way, this is indeed the closest battle yet. Not because it was close in stats or abilities, but because the winner itself was so incredibly difficult to determine for the Death Battle team; they've commented as much multiple times. Fun Fact: Shortly after this battle came out, a new line of Hulk comics began production, in which the only goal of the writers seemed to be to make Hulk more powerful than Doomsday. He got new feats that eclipsed all previous ones, several new forms with genius-level intelligence, became a master of different kinds of weaponry, and they straight-up gave him that same "come back to life" power that Doomsday has (albeit without the "forever immune" part). Thus, the winner is a little more debatable now, though most think Doomsday still takes it. AND NOW, THE ONE PIECE PORTION OF THE COMMENT WHERE A GUY WHO NEVER RECOMMENDS ANYTHING EVER RECOMMENDS A SHOW THAT IS NEARING 1000 EPISODES. One Piece is one of those shows that is incredibly daunting to get into just because it's so incredibly long and it's not even that close to being finished, but I have never met a single person who started that show and regretted it. You'd be surprised how quickly you chow through it, too; most reactors will edit 2-4 episodes into one video containing only the highlights (with maybe the full reaction for their patrons), skip filler (although I'd argue that One Piece filler is still generally better than a lot of other anime's canon episodes) and still get caught up in only a year or so. Faster if they really get into it. It's handedly one of the greatest stories ever told, both in scale, direction, and writing. Even the background characters are given arcs and development that tie into the overarching plot, and it's one of the only stories I've seen that handles volatile subjects with grace and impact. I've seen single story arcs change lives around and two-episode-long flashbacks bring tears to people I've never seen cry. It's one of those shows that I, and pretty much everyone who has watched it through, cannot possibly recommend enough, whether you react to it or just watch it on your own and give it a bit to get going. There's a reason it's the longest-running TV Show and Comic/Manga written by one person, and the second-highest selling comic series of all time right below Superman. It really is THAT good.

Sadly, we are not getting a new Hulk movie anytime soon. The logistics of it is weird, but legally, Hulk is owned both by Marvel and Paramount (not Disney). They had 3 movie contract made back when they made "The Incredible Hulk" for the MCU. However, due to that contract, even though they can use Hulk and its characters in other movies, they can't make a straight-up Hulk Movie. I will say, I forgot this death battle existed, mostly because I remember the next Hulk Death Battle so much more.

That's it, they have entirely different powersets, personalities, and everything. Honestly, Hyperion is the ONLY Superman imitation. Third: "Loki is a very powerful long lived alien from another realm like all Asgardians" That's a very MCU look at it. The Asgardians are actual gods, much like all the Pantheons throughout Marvel. Loki may be of a different species, but he still classifies as a god. As has been proven via feats, gods in Marvel (Not MCU) are walking, physical manifestations of stories. They also transcend dimensions, as Thor has gone through higher dimensions and remained as powerful. They are also somewhat powered by prayer. TLDR: gods in Marvel are walking plot devices.

The only way timetravel could really affect Doomsday was if you went back in time and stopped him from existing in the first place. Also with Doomsday not being able to die the same way twice. If I remember correctly, it takes a year for Doomsday to come back once he's been killed once. So if Hulk was able to kill him in this that would've been the end of the battle.

to clarify, the end of time in dc is a force called 'entropy', which is infinitely more destructive than our own, and is known to kill immortals. it's the source of all evil and the origin of forces like the omega effect. So taking THAT to kill doomsday is a testament to how hard it is.

@@theduckgoesmoo Between Hulk And Doomsday? No idea, not a DC person. But Hulk’s Marvel Universe stats are ridiculous. In Marvel Comics, all characters are given a set of stats for their skills between 1 and 7. 1 being a normal human man and 7 being almost infinite. Hulk manages to hit 7 in both Strength/power and Durability meaning he could destroy essentially anything with minimal effort and can’t be harmed by anything less than an actual God. Hulk’s lowest stat is Speed which is at a three, which doesn’t seem like a lot, until you remember he’s able to cross entire deserts in a few hops His Fighting Skills/tactics I guess, Energy/Stamina, and Intelligence are all between 4 and 6, which makes sense considering his game plan is to just launch himself at something until it works, and usually, it works.

What Death Battle DOESN’T mention, is that the Marvel Universe is stated to be infinite in size, not just ever-expanding. Keep that in mind for the feats I’ll list. -Savage Hulk (the normal Hulk most people are familiar with) regularly throws hands with beings like Hyperion (who endured two universes colliding on top of him), Thor (Who overpowered and beat Surtur when he was serious- a skyfather level being; a Multiversal threat. Thor was one time evenly-matched with Zeus, yeah the king of gods Zeus, who just so happens to be a previously mentioned-skyfather- skyfathers are known to be at the very least universal beings. Thor also hurt Chaos King Amatsu Mikaboshi, who is above abstract beings like Eternity and Infinity, and made him scream, and knocked out the Pheonix Force, who is similar in power) Gladiator (who flew through a star like nothing, brawls with people like Thor, and snapped Hyperion’s neck), etc. -Savage Hulk also destroys a universe in his fight against the mystical being Darkcrawler, not to be confused with the X-Man Nightcrawler. He withstands and powers through Vector’s reality altering blasts. His more recent fight with an amped Ironclad shakes the Multiverse too. -Thanos (who manhandles heroes like Thor and Hyperion), despite being more powerful than Hulk, is hesitant to fight him because he knows the Hulk may get angry enough to physically overpower him. Hulk has harmed Thanos before. -The Dark Dimension, the domain of beings like Dormammu and the Mindless Ones, is stated in the Official Marvel Handbook to have multiple other dimensions absorbed into it. The Worldbreaker Hulk, who you may know is the most powerful version of the Hulk, was destroying Umar’s (Dormammu’s sister) dimension within the larger Dark Dimension in the battle with another Hulk. Planets shattered, and amped versions of the Hulk’s enemies were flat-out obliterated in the first shockwave of the two Hulk’s collision. I should point out that Superman HAS killed or severely harmed Doomsday with brute force multiple times. This shows Doomsday may adapt to a certain level of power inflicted upon him, but he’ll still be harmed if he’s hit beyond what he’s adapted to.

Also, since you mentioned that you're not watching the Disney+ Marvel shows... if you're following the MCU movies in order, you definitely should, as they're officially considered to be as important as the movies, and the finale of Loki has something happen that WILL have massive consequences for the upcoming movies.

One Piece is my second favorite anime/manga of all time (beaten only by Full Metal Alchemist) and Zoro is my favorite character from that insane, wacky series. I completely understand refusing to do a reaction series for it, you’ve only got so much time in your day and it’s a beeeeeast. Still ongoing, but at least it’s in its final few years right now. XD Fairy Tail is one that I was reading during the original weekly releases but eventually got bored and dropped off. However I’ve started watching the anime recently and I’m pushing through it (still struggling to not be bored for the most part but it has a lot of ideas that I do like and want to see evolve into something good). This next battle is a really good one. Now as for this fight, I completely agree with the outcome and it doesn’t matter which version of Hulk they pull out for it. The bottom line is that Doomsday simply cannot be killed by brute force anymore and Hulk has no other alternatives. And it’s a shame because I love Hulk and Bruce Banner, too 5 Marvel character for me, while Doomsday is pretty generic and grungy and typical 90s gritty for edginess sake alone (but damn if his design isn’t super freaking badass, he’s metal as hell and I love that look). Plus the fact that he can fight Darkseid and tank through the Omega Beam… yikes. For your information, Darkseid is a literal god, the physical embodiment of tyranny, residing on a higher plane of existence. He’s more or less the biggest big bad in DC comics as a whole and Marvel designed Thanos after him. In season 8 or 9 (I forget which specifically) the finale is Darkseid vs Thanos so you’ll get there eventually. Super excited for one of the upcoming videos! Power Rangers Megazord vs Voltron is tied for my all time favorite Death Battle (alongside Dante vs Bayonetta)!

OH! i am looking forward to the next fight. i am a huge One Piece fan and it is worth every second to read/watch. like they only tap into a small part of Zoro's strength since that Death Battle came out 4 years ago. a LOT has happened since then.

and listen, i get it: there is a lot of episodes and there are pacing problems here and there since most long term anime have to worry about getting too close to the manga and thus needing filler to pad it out, but trust me: One Piece is a fantastic story with a world always moving forward and characters you either love off the bat or love to hate. and if you really want to try to react to it, take my advice: take it slowly. it's not a series you have to blitz through. it's an adventure. you'd be buckled in for a long ride but trust me it's worth it if you ever want to join. I'd most likely watch your reactions and give you answers (not spoiler filled ones) if need be.

Oh yeah they only tap into a small fraction of wha he can do, since if i can remember well that Death Battle was made wen there were almost done with the Dressrosa arc and since the most notable fights up till that point were againts Fishman, Monet and Pika it didint show of all of what he can offer, butsince then Zoro has show a lot more feats.

@@juliannavarretealvarez3070 of Hell yeah. i mean... spoilers for Anime Watchers since i am clearly talking about events happening right now in the 1000th chapters but Zoro is nearly a Yonko Commander. and if you don't know what Yonko are, pretty much they are heads of large groups of pirates under a pirate captain who rivals some of the strongest characters in the series, if not not being THE strongest in the series and Zoro cut one like Sushi. not on his knees bad but he bled. not to mention able to one shot lower goons and just tank A LOT of punishment. man nearly died to said Yonko and got out before then and had broken bones. Zoro is not someone to mess with and Erza fought a weaker Zoro just to be fair.

the thing with actual gamma radiation is that it's actually pretty harmless as it just passes through everything because of how specific the circumstances need to be, for it to ionise. only an electron with a very specific charge can at all affect(deflect) a gamma ray. there are billions of gamma rays created by the sun every second that just pass through earth and everyone around it because of how specific the circumstances needed to affect a gamma ray are and because of how much free space there is in every atom and how small the gamma rays are

"He can kind of lift Thor's hammer." No he in fact can not. Both in comics, animated series, and the MCU, Hulk is unable to lift Mjolnir, because the Hulk is not worthy. The MCU even makes it clear that both the Hulk and Banner, as two separate entities, can't even make it budge. "Loki's not actually a god, is he?" MCU, no, he's and the Asgardians are basically a glorified aliens that ancient humans mistook for gods. In the comics however they are without question genuine gods. Loki being adopted does not detract from him being the actual God of Mischief.

Death Battles are only interested in GETTING that kill, it doesn't really matter how long the death sticks. Regardless, unless Hulk can find a NEW way to kill Doomsday, he just can't kill him. Even assuming he became several times stronger than Doomsday, he could beat him up for literally centuries without rest and Doomsday would just keep fighting back until eventually he won. Doomsday is FUCKING SCARY.

The short version is yes/no. If you go off the comic lore/ history loki is a god just like all the Asgardian's, the movies specifically made them into aliens because marvel studios head writers felt it was really to soon to introduce "magic" and mythical gods into what was already a heavy scifi stacked movie franchise. The og loki and all other loki's since are gods. but its comics and its weird. i recommend looking up variant comics history of series or some of the others channels on youtube that go over this stuff. its actually pretty neat.

I will say that marvel has a stupid amount of Superman rip offs. From hyperion, to gladiator, to blue marvel, and the failed super soilder himself sentry. Sentry being the most powerful of the rip offs is stupidly strong. But I will say, that they all fall short of being actually as powerful as the real Superman. But reaching Superman’s levels is tough when he has over 80+ years of backstory to being an nigh unstoppable alien Demi god

it makes it harder, but doomsday still wins. bear in mind, every time hulk dies he has to restart from base strength, but doomsday gets permanently stronger the more he fights and has an established immunity to everything hulk could reasonably use to kill him. plus he's adapted to similar powers before and shown the ability to attack a person's energy directly or even steal strength. Plus hulk's been put out of comission for a good long time with a harsh enough death, which still counts.

This was the first death battle i ever disagreed with even though I prefer doomsday over hulk personally. They stressed hulks healing factor could burn out, but the hulk has been basically atomized before to nearly a spec and fully regenerated (similar to doomsday) and they didn't bother with that info. I personally believe hulk would take the battle (at least the first one) because the hulk is able to scale his power and adapt faster than doomsday. Doomsday has to basically die to adapt to what kills him, though he can adapt slowly during a fight (despite what the the movie SvsB showed). With little exception doomsday rarely adapted rapidly during a fight. It would normally take drawn out time to adapt. Hulk is able to adapt quickly. And he also has the option of the brain of banner. They do still talk to each other so banner would probably be able to figure out doomsday (especially in a second fight). And realize that hulk would have to do more than punch doomsday out as well as factor in the possibility of being converted back into banner. Which banner would realize that isn't a good idea with doomsday on a killing spree. Eventually though the fight would end up in a draw after a few bouts, but I would have to unfortunately give hulk the first win.

Doomsdays adaptation isn’t really showcased well in the battle. I agree with the results of the battle but but the explanation Ignoring how certain versions of hulk can regenerate from a drop of blood because it’s just inconsistent and depends on who writes him. I do agree with doomsday overtaxing they healing factor especially with his spikes (which I assume also had some anti healing factor poison in it due to how he adapts) Frankly. Doomsday just has more INSANE feats. Including: resisting darkseids omega beams which can erase whatever they touch. Doomsday just didn’t care. Doomsday punches through the phantom zone… which is stated tube impossible, he kills Superman and is constantly on Superman’s level no matter how strong Superman gets. In this battle it was using the common hulk, because after this they booted up a comic series where Bruce banner and hulk actually communicated with the goal of making him stronger than doomsday This vid is from years ago so I imagine doomsday is even more immune than before even though hulk has gotten stronger and smarter. Maybe current hulk could pull out a single win with prep time but after that I doubt he’s gonna win after that. Also WHY he turns into Bruce banner After getting hit hard is headcanon which they should have stated BUT it’s the only answer that makes sense.
