So in this game, Entei and Raikou are roaming legendaries after you first meet them in that one tower. So if your lucky you could encounter them anywhere in the grass or while surfing. Unfortunately they tend to run away instead of fighting. They are very annoying to catch, but they do sustain damage from each battle.

Clair's Kingdra is pretty hard to beat, since its really bulky and also only weak to dragon moves, and the only dragon pokemon you can get at that point is a Game Corner low level Dratini for 21,000 coins, and getting that Dratini a hassle because you can't buy coins.

This is a super fun game, I highly recommend it. HeartGold and SoulSilver are remakes of Pokemon Gold and Silver for the Nintendo DS, where you travel the Johto region. It takes place 2 years after the end of Red and Blue, and Team Rocket is back trying to take over Johto now. After you beat the main story and become the Champion, you get to challenge all the gyms from the previous games and then face off against Red, the main character from the Gen 1 games, in an epic battle on a snowy mountaintop, where Red has been standing for 2 years, possibly

You know, I wouldn't mind if you also considered going back to Gen 4 (yes Gen 4, not Gen 2, there's a difference between Generation and Region) and play the Johto remakes for a Nuzlocke, after all you said you never got far in the original Johto games since they were your brother's.

To be fair to the new guy, there's a lot of pokemon & moves that don't look or sound like their type, though mostly the later generations. The luck was insane though lol. Hyper fang just halves their current health, a great opener but poor finisher. The 'powers type moves in a pinch' abilities only activate at low health, too risky in a nuzlocke. Echozeal is a forretress the evolution of pineco, the bug steel combo is resistant to a handful of types, and having high physical defense makes it a wall in this generation. Oh yeah kingdra was a pain before fairies got introduced because it's stats are generally good across the board, not to mention the mean moveset in that gym.

Entei and raikou are roaming legendary pokemon the only one that you can catch in the story is suicune and lugia and ho oh (except that lugia and ho oh are exclusive)

You can catch the 2 box arts and Raikou and Entei Suicune and all other Legendarys are post game and some are also exclusive. And ones like Rayquaza are only obtained by trading Kyogre/Groudon to the opposite game to stand along side the other versions Groudon/Kyogre to unlock it

Bonus Ariados fact: It has arguably the most obscure exclusive move in Toxic Thread, a move that lowers the opponents speed by 1 stage and poisons them (String Shot + Poison Gas basically). That move was added in the 7th generation, 5 generations after Ariados.
