Can you try Silent Swordsman Lv7 or Guilford the Legend? Silent Swordsman Lv7 can be cheated out with Lv5 (which can be cheated out by Isolde) and Level Up! or a Wild Monster Appears. For Guilford I was thinking Isolde into Soldier Gaia, to tribute and search out Guilford, but then I still need a normal summon or decide to save Guilford for my next turn and use Clarent+Hauteclair to oneshot.

Funny enough i fought a deck just like that one... They normal and special summon until they had 3 body's on field and then proceeded to crash all off them on my auroradon and pass turn after setting one backrow (the trap that nukes your field if they have 5 or more blackwings on their GY) needles to say I won next turn. I was as flummoxed as the TheDuelLogs because when where both Plat 1.

As a blackwing player, kalut is great on your opponents battle phase. I would never play 3 kalut unless I need another lvl 3 non tuner to get back with blizzard but that doesn't seem optimal.

It gets like that my friend. Not all players play linear and not all players are the same when it comes to how they play. Some will even sacrifice a unit or anything and still keep it in hand until the right moment. I tend to do that at times myself. Not all the time I will play a card when you think I will. I may be holding it off. Then when you least expect it or when you think I don't have it on hand. I may actually have it on hand. You can't just use all of your resources. You have to be resourceful on when to use them.

Kalut was one of the best Blackwing cards back in the day. It's mostly just considered very outmoded, since there are much easier ways to get a ton of ATK onto your Blackwings without relying on a card that's effectively a single-shot boost and does nothing else.

On the topic of random, janky fun meme decks i just hit Diamond 1 with a generaider backrow meme deck. and no, i did not play a single continuous floodgate, mostly because i do not have any on my account. only thing i used (to great effect) was dimensional barrier and trap trick as that completely hardcounters swoswo and, well anything aside form link spam and decks that do not use their extradeck. Generaiders are really fun, actually, because nobody has a single clue how your combos work. So.many.misplays. The watered down engine I used also only takes up like 8 cards in the deck, the rest of which can be filled with all manner of fun things. If you're curious about it, i can share the deck list on my yt account^^
