I think what makes it broken is that the ritual spell can be used for any monster, not just the drytrons, so it makes it a lot easier to get the combos off with the fact that all of the fairy monsters have 2000 or less attack

Drytrons released alongside reprints of Benten and Ultimateness in the TCG, so I guess that's what Konami was going for. Maybe they didn't think of Eva though? The real issue is that Eva is just a three negates on its own, not counting any other fairies, or multiple copies of it. But the Drytrons by themselves, using only the Drytrons ritual monsters and no fairies in the deck, are really fair imo, they have the consistancy that ritual monsters lacked for so long without being broken on their own. just making an errata on Meteonis so that it can only Special Summon a Drytron Ritual Monster would really solve the problem without killing Cyber Angels decks (which I really like :'c ) or even having to ban Eva.

Drytron is supposed to be an engine designed to help Rituals. Heralds gave them a bad rep. Drytron can make plenty of ritual decks, from Hungry Burger Turbo to Relinquished Turbo. F*ck Herald of Garbageness.

I'd say drytron is more fair than adamancipators in the current situation. Yes, herald has 5-7 negates in hand, but if you droplet it, that's down to 2(0 if you can called by the orange light), and adams can end on a S/T negate, a baronne negate, buster lock, borrel savage, and possibly an arc light iirc(Or an apollousa, or they end on both with IP linking into 2 mat with carrier on your turn). What do you droplet? You can't send monsters, so arc light can just negate, you called by it, they just negate with something else, etc. You can't use triple evenly to out it, you can use dark ruler no more but that's it, and it doesn't stop buster lock, you still have to beat over borreload savage to stop that, without ED plays. So there's DRNM+evenly, and if you're playing that, you're just blinding second and shouldn't have issues dealing with any boards, but you also need to deal with your blind second strat probably not being an OTK.

Yeah, Drytron is straight broken. People always go on and on about limiting Benten and banning Eva and while this will stop the Herald line it doesn't fix Drytron. If they get even a tiny bit of breathing room they will bring out any ritual monster they want, though three or four negates if need be. Unless the entire engine gets hit Konami will never be able to release a good ritual monster ever again because Drytron will make sure it hits the field way, way too easily.

If Drytron were locked to just Drytron and not splashable it would be no more potent than half the decks that recycle. Tribrigade, Skystrikers, Eldlich, Zoo, Invoked, Shadoll, Dogmatika, Crusadia, Unchained and so forth. The issue is they refuse to put a "This card can Ritual Summon any Drytron Ritual Monster"

Don't know some people think Drytron is an Inovation of Ritual. Most ritual cards have High Stats and 'broken' effect because in the old days, they were very hard to summon and needed a lot of resources;as limit or balancer. But when Drytron came, "Here boys you can ritual summon all of your broken effects, WITHOUT COST!" . I think Megalith and Impcantation are fairer and inovative. Because you can ritual summon any monsters, but you still need a lot of materials too.

This just makes me think how completely ineffectual Master Duel's upcoming update to their "limited/forbidden" list is likely to be. Does putting Benten to one really hurt Drytrons, at all? Putting Conquistador to one could be a problem for people who use Lichi-rich in decks that actually have *more* than two different main deck monsters, but it's probably a minor inconvenience to Cancer-lich. Putting D.D. Dynamite to 2 does jack because they only need to 2 to win, anyway.

Witch's strike would be a devastating retaliation against negation effects (cards that negate summon (s)/ activation (s) ) if it's actually a counter trap not just a normal trap. Being a counter trap gives it the advantage to bypass any card that the opponent would activate in response, except for counter traps. I think Konami thought about making it a counter trap and probably know that it would be almost impossible to stop regarding the fact that ONLY other counter traps may be chained to the activation of a counter trap.

Best of 3 format, if you're that mad at the deck you can just side deck in 15 kaijus/droplet/dark ruler no more/etc and the ocg is balanced around Maxx c plus drytrons don't do well going second since tributing as a cost means they're gonna get hurt by negates

Dryton board consists of multiple negates and anti-spell/trap negates when they complete; even a witch hand trap have been laid, it needs a counter against negates so that witch hand trap can't be negated helplessly.I started to put some Summon limit trap,Kaiju, forbidden droplet cards to interrupted their building board. But as we know how God not forsaken the Dryton players and they always get the cards their needed. That's why Dryton are cancerous deck to play against, while "You Player" having a brinky start, despite having a countermeasures against Dryton deck

Master Duel didn't touch Eva because MD is based on OCG banlists, so nothing's really gonna change when they can just search out the one Benten in their deck and hope you didn't go first AND draw into Called By The Grave to get rid of it.

They can also search and trigger Benten, which can search both Ultimateness (the only ritual monster that's a strong board all by itself), and Eva to fuel it. Benten to 1 means they need to draw their own engine cards to search ultimateness, and the Eva ban is a massive hit to the power of the end board as it effectively takes away 2 negates, forcing drytron to play more non-engine cards to fuel ultimateness, as ultimateness needs Fairies and drytron is machine. Even if their recursion is crazy, it doesn't matter because there isn't a single ritual monster they can summon that makes a strong board any more.

Why drytrons are broke -no hard once per turn -can summon any ritual -go from 1 card to 9 -ritual spell summons from the grave or hand -never runs out of gas -monsters can SS from the grave with 1 monster

Also tbh all drytrons look the fkn same besides gamma so my brain becomes numb to the pain of seeing 1 at all I see them as the same

@@Greyhoundsniper just need to know one search ritual monster, one search ritual spell, one draw one card by revealing ritual spell or ritual monster and one just special summon one more from gy
