As always - great content. If someone happens to read this comment.. do NOT be undersold at how game changing maxing your house is. You don't have to go all the way to fairy ring / spirit tree combo to get MASSIVE benefits from it. Focusing this out early on an iron was such a boon for the rest of the account progress.

Leveling construction enough to get a max house was probably the biggest game changer for me in the mid-game tbh

Os Fang, Tent whip, Zomb Axe. These are like budget Rapier (stab), Saeldor (slash) and Inq mace (crush)

Yes, they are the steps before those expensive weapon. Except Osmumten's Fang, which outdoes Rapier in many places (not monster with low defense though, rapier shines against those)

What they never tell you about maxing your construction is the cost of the upgrades for all the nice and shiny things you need to build. Throw another 20m on top of what you spent to get there

They really should try to close the gap between blowpipe and bowfa imo. I think 4m to nearly 200m is a bit too much of a leap. Obviously you get rigour in the meantime, which is 16m but I really think a 50m ranged option that is slightly worse than the bowfa would be a nice addition. Similar to Craw's bow but outside of the wilderness.

You can't really determine the "gap" between weapons based on the price like that. Jagex doesn't get to determine exactly where a weapon lands price wise. So you shouldn't judge whether or not there's too big of a gap based on the price., but rather how good the weapons are. And Bowfa is INSANELY good for it's price. That being said, the Dragon Crossbow w/ Ruby bolts is often better for bossing than the blowpipe. Since bosses have high defense. Blowpipe is more for picking off smaller, weaker NPCs, or any monster with low defense. Plus there's other pieces of ranged gear (like you mentioned rigour, but there's like 10 other gear slots with upgrades as well)

For construction just use miscellanea and get mahogany logs to turn into planks yourself using dueling rings at castle wars and the balloon to the lumberyard and teleport back

you can skip the dueling ring by using a Earth teleport on the ring of elements and walking north to the lumberyard. it's like a 1mil tele ring that's super worth

@@TheWormholeGuyit’s actually more cost effective to make the planks yourself with plank make. I had a bunch of nature runes sitting around from runecrafting and went from 86 to 93 with 12k teak and 12k mahogany logs. Now I’m trying to burn those planks up on construction

What was that old minigame where you’d mine the clay, then could turn it into melee weapons and armor or magic or range, then had to fight eachother? Had like lvl 1-5 armor and it actually looked pretty good.

I did the same and it gave me the push the quickly level att to 82. Also, consider some things like the anti dragonfire shields, both the melee and ranged ones are solid defensive shields and so useful for dragon slayer tasks etc. Plus with both having bonus str to their respective forms useful in other combat too.

Construction to lvl 90 is the best for midgame 100m investment when questing/slayer/bossing, basically any activity requiring fast travel

Great ideas! For now my advice is that there is no order you SHOULD upgrade necessarily. Since there are lots of different bosses with different weaknesses, the exact weapons and armour you upgrade to, depends on which bosses you want to grind

Depends who you ask. I don't think it's a great idea to be selling back gear very often, since you'll generally lose money with the GE tax. Instead I'd rather use the gear to go make more money, then invest in new items. It's smart to buy your gear based off what boss you're going to grind though, instead of just buying gear THEN trying to figure out where it is helpful.

No one even knows what "midgame" means How can "completing every quest" aka the story part of the game is just mid game? Imagine saying you are experiencing your midlife crisis.....at 70 years old

level 70 is less than 10% of the way to 99, so if your goal is to max your account, getting level 70s for quest cape requirements is 10% of the way there. "end game" means you are fighting the hardest bosses, running raids, and grinding for pets. (could be argued that this is "post game" content. Im coming up on my quest cape at 1200 hours played, and with a 40 mil bank. I cant afford ANY of the gear needed to go on raids efficiently. most of my clan mates have more like 3000 hours, so from that perspective, I'm definitely not at the end game yet.

@@4m_Audio you have too much money in your bank for 1200 Yes regarding Xp 92 is the halfway point, we all know the meme, but gameplay wise it is not, at 92 you are not doing half the damage you will be able to do at 99, you are most likely doing 95% of what you will be able to do at max level Same as being lvl 50 combats vs 99 This game has one of the biggest diminishing return curves out there, that's why no one can agree what midgame is Others just add "late game" as another section because it doesnt make sense to split your gameplay experience into 3 sections where 1 of them will contain 90% of your game time

The concept of "midgame" where you just lump 95% of the game into the same category makes no sense. You need to make further subdivisions. Full 2007 Scape Nezzy Helm, Fighter Torso, Whip and Barrow Legs is midgame. Having a 500M bank from general non-raids bossing, but still being ages away from the actual big boi weapons is also midgame. Yet, they are many galaxies apart in terms of playtime required.

In this video I mention that mid game can be different depending on which player you ask. I also say IMMEDIETLY after "completing every quest" that technically you don't have to complete ALL of them for good progress. Just something to be working towards (specifically investing in your stats to get all the minimum levels).

Completing every quest would definitely be a good intro for mid game. At that point you have access to barrows gloves (slightly before all quests of course), CG for gear, and you've unlocked all spellbooks/prayers (aside from raid prayers)... would you consider yourself mid game if you didn't have ancients/lunars? By your example - that's saying in primary school youre at the mid game of life. Mid game is certainly subjective but barrows gloves / quest cape is about as mid game as you can be.
