Himan Brown, the creator of CBS Radio Mystery Theater, died exactly 14 years ago on June 4, 2010 at age 99. He was heard on countless episodes, although his name wasn't listed in the credits. Himan Brown was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 1990.

Oh my goodness, I had no idea he was still alive then ! He certainly deserved awards for his incredible body of work all those years ! I’m thinking Himan was the most prolific writer if he wrote ALL E.G. Marshall monologs. The “setup script” is critical to program performance, execution and success. I hope he had a good life.

@@thomassecurename3152 Hi Tom! I hope you enjoyed tonight's story. Himan Brown also created The Inner Sanctum, which was also a great radio drama. He died a month before his 100th birthday.

@@GeminiladyJackson-xq6hc I am afraid the world is going to be experiencing a “ lot of hurt”, climate-wise, as we have been warned over the past few years - but I’m afraid it was already too late to make any real efforts at stopping it. We’ve had ours on as well, the same. My heart hurts for all those world-wide that are already reaching sustained temperatures that will threaten all lives, wildlife and human beings. I pray for all of us. It is only a small effort, but I have been feeding the small group of wildlife that visit us regularly every year by providing them with what food and water supply they need throughout the year, but especially in the spring for the newborns. It is an absolute delight to be able to watch them as they go about their daily lives, grow and move on, knowing I was able to help them at least with their basic necessities. It isn’t a perfect solution, but there is none in life for any of us. As I already try to actively help people whenever I can in my life, I see no reason not to help our wildlife as well, and doing both warms my heart on a daily basis. Take care, my very dear friend - and thank you for your continued friendship , I enjoy it greatly !!🥰

I too have decided to listen to each and every one I can - I have expressed that to Sir Edge as well. Where else could I find a collection of this ilk with its pedigree of writers and actors ? 06-05-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada, 43* N. 🇨🇦. Late to listening tonight, but made it. Last three days of weather in the ‘80’s, with very high humidity. Been hard drying clothes outside ! I always enjoy Teri Keane - she could play a wide and varied emotional range of characters - from subdued to hysterical. After listening for the last two years or so, I’m finally getting to recognize the surprisingly full range of character voices of Robert Dryden, and there were a lot ! I can always recognize Mandel Kramer’s lovely and sometimes sexy voice. Also love the plot-line - it even has “edge-of-the-seat” teeth ! Really enjoyed the story !! 🙏❤🫠 Hope everyone had a good evening and has pleasant dreams ! 🫠 A big thank you to Sir Edge for another great bedtime story ! 😘

It's the writers of these and countless other stories that have an obsession. They seem to think the whole world drinks liquor, and that it has to be in their stories. What an empty, meaningless life!
