That was 80 years ago and you can still go into any auto parts store and buy Autolite spark plugs lol, they sure got every cent out of advertising on that show, it made me want to go out and buy Autolite products right now lol.

Pre "found footage" stories. I remember hearing this one some time ago. The imagination and the power of suggestion is so much creepier than all the contemporary gore-fests they call horror movies. I didn't grow up with dramatic radio programs, with the exception of "Adventures in Odyssey". I love the comedy and the drama.

Anna Ferrara I didn't grow up with these gore movies. I heard about these shows from my mother, Grandma and sisters. I like using my imagination.

The "found footage" story device decades before "Blair Witch".

The earliest "found footage" story I am aware of is Bram Stoker's novel, "Dracula." It is written as a collection of letters, diary and journal entries and a newspaper article or two. It would not surprise me to discover that that was not the first example. The difference is in the kind of recording devise used. "Dracula is the written word, "Ghost Hunt is an audio recording and "The Blair Witch Project" is audio visual.
