I feel a bit sorry for Pompey. If they concentrated on the football aspect and not of the dark arts they would get a lot more points. Todd Cantwells ankles must be heavily bruised tonight. Any time a Portsmouth player was touched though they fell to the ground like they had been chopped down. COYB

Great joke. First 20mins Blackburn players seemed to get a freekick for being blown on & then pompey realised this & started copying you. Ref was awful as 70% of the freekicks given weren't even fouls & doesn't realise its a contact sport but then 2 clear penalties not given was appalling! Standard of refereeing in the championship is shocking

@@Whacka82the first one could have been a penalty, contact is made, but it would have been a soft penalty if the ref gave it as he only brushed Pears arms and went down from it. The second one in the box he played the ball, clearly the player didn’t call for a penalty, so not sure how you think it should have been 2 pens

@Chrissaces1 because that's not the 2 incidents. First one is when it was nil nil with a cross put in, bishop about to head it in and the defender has just 2 handed shoved him in the chest as he's jumping. Second one by the keeper just wipes Lang out

For the first penalty shout at 0-0, it is only possible to see the push from behind the goal, and with no VAR there is nothing can be done. It is typical bad luck for a team in Portsmouth's position - the referee was in the correct position. It is because the Blackburn defender is in the championship (not in amateur football) that he commits fouls where the officials cannot see, and so gets away with the foul. Not just this defender, all professional defenders are aware of where the officials are, and so know when to try something underhand. For the second penalty appeal the contact was not enough to award a penalty.
