I so appreciate this presentation. I finally feel sane about my GI symptoms, and also now understand why the amitryptiline helps my stomach so much.

Very helpful and thorough. This is the first video where someone mentioned empathy as the first thing for management.

Honestly when I get adjusted in my lower back, there is a spot that when it is put in place it literally helps me go to the bathroom. Otherwise no matter what I eat or do physically, I can't have a bowel movement. It is painful to have done but it's worth it.

PT suggested taking a gloved, well lubricated finger and manually reaching in to dislodge the stool. If I would have known this was an option throughout life, ong, would have been so much easier throughout life. I no longer take bowel movement aides, etc...I check when I feel full, sometimes there isnt anything in there...others, I take out a bit and this makes room for more to move into rectum. Well lubricated is key. (Vaseline will work or sexual lubricant. Vaseline considerably cheaper. I also found out when I needed a rectoplexy.....there was a curve in the rectum where stool would get stuck. I can feel that curve and where I once strained...omg, wish I knew that manual extraction was something that ppl could do for themselves.
