9:14 I guess that's where the old crt TV used to be in the 60/700/80's on a corner shelf?

I had a room toward the center in quite an intense storm summer 2015 with family friends and I’m not sure if the balcony went to the pool area or not but this is a cool spot!

I hope you review some choice hotels too and Wyndham maybe, I'm a housekeeper at a hotel and sometimes some of the maintenance issues that arent our fault and more of the maintenance persons fault get put back on us housekeepers and we get blamed so just know that. Also if you ever are in a room where the housekeeper did a good job leave them a tip or a note that stuff makes our day and even though you may pay over 100 a night or more we dont get paid that much to clean rooms, also I always loved watching your reviews even before I started working as a housekeeper I pray every hotel room you stay in from this point on is clean and comfy

That outlet on the upper corner is more than likely a remnant from a swag fixture. Certainly dates the place!

It just got sold to new owners for around $8 million. Hopefully that means they'll do some renovations to it.

I like that room. It is cleaning and charming. Yes it is old but it has flair. They should do the walls and the painting better but all in all I saw hotels which were much more worse than this one.

Airport hotels usually are under invested, because the average stay is only one night. Mostly flight crew, and/or stranded passengers. Still well kept is all you can ask for. IHG just did a few million dollars upgrade to a lot of their properties. I would give it 3 stars.

I see those Kohler toilets all the time at Habitat for Humanity ReStores. That odd water inlet is designed to make for a quiet flush (even though the mechanism that refills the tank isn't silent) but it is just overall a bad design. Apparently they retailed for around $1,000 new! What a price to pay for a crappy toilet.

I think the outlet towards the ceiling may have been for an old heater/ac that was up in that area.

I stayed here about 15 years ago. Looks like they remodeled it since then. You should have seen it then!

It looks pretty nice! But yeah you are definitely right! That’s a really weird set up, especially in the bathroom! I’ve never seen anything like that before!

I stayed there 22 years ago. Had kids running in the halls all night long. Also breaking bottles in the parking lot at 1am. Management did nothing. I have not been back nor will i ever.

Not a fan of Holiday Inn's. Oh and HI does two soft pillows and two firm depending on what the guest prefers. However, they both suck.

Love these hotel reviews. You should include the quality of the WiFi. I’ve stayed at budget places that had great WiFi, and high end places that had terrible. Also the tv channel lineup. Again I’ve had 200 channels at budget places and less than 30 at better properties

The best thing I can say about being a semi-old-timer is this is just great, because it definitely brings me back. The only concern I would have is at 9:28. That's funny, though. I would had the same comment, but more like a roast to maintenance staff. Otherwise, I'd be comfortable in a room like that. I've stayed in a hotel that was that old, but every piece of furniture and plumbing was all original. The funny thing is that on the old 70's TV was left on the Game Show Network channel when it got turned off.
