Nicely produced as always! Still on my list to build some time to check out the old D gates being pulled out of mothballs at STL next time I'm through town.

My #avgeek is showing. I kept looking at the Magni Charters 737 at 11:04 (think I saw it land earlier in the video, too) and could not figure out what looked so weird about. It's short and looks fat. It's -500. Which we rarely see anymore. Neat!!

Wow only 25,000 feet in crusing altitude. I wonder if that was where they ended up finding the smoothest air after seeing all of that wind back in Cancun.

Great video! I love going to this airport, been to Playa Car 3 times all the way from the U.K. I fly for SWA Virtual too so I get to do all these routes. Great to see IRL.

Sounds like this plane was rocking some GE90s for its engines. Love the GE90 one of my favorite jet engines ever made.

You should do a trip report from St. Louis to Orlando Florida.

I had experinced the wind shaking a plane so much that you could feel it in ediburgh scotland. I flew a ATR 72 into Ediburgh a the pilot managed to land as smooth as possible with a strong crosswind.

Thanks for sharing your travels with us! Personally, I am not a fan of SWA. I know a lot of people like them...to each their own. If Southwest wants to continue to grow these international sectors, they need to work on creating the consistent product they have in the states. I would be extremely unhappy had I lost my boarding line spot, when I payed extra to have an early boarding group, on an airline that has no assigned seats.

Hey Jacob Bachta. Like I asked in the last comment if you do come back to Texas can you check the out car washes in these towns: Grand Saline, Canton, Wills Point, Greenville, Tyler, Gladewater, Mineola, Quitman, Winnsboro, Terrell and Kaufman please? Thanks.

dang. i’m pretty surprised about their mexico crews. if this makes you feel better about STL, MKE (my home airport) only has one gate for international arrivals :P although STL is bigger

Howd you like Southwest compared to other budget airlines?
@TheElevatorChannel5 жыл бұрын
Kathi Kamholz I don’t even think of them as a budget airline. I think of it this way... If you’re going to be in coach, SWA is the place to be. Friendly service, bags are included, seats are reasonably comfy, and they run a good operation. Plus their frequent flier program is fantastic. I’d take coach on Southwest over coach on the legacy carriers like American any day. The “ultra low cost” carriers like Frontier and Spirit are not my thing at all. They post low fares and make up the difference by charging extra fees for everything and making the experience miserable.
@kathikamholz14935 жыл бұрын
@@TheElevatorChannel Exactly. I love Southwest. I wont fly any other airline due to all the fees

DO they have any plans on demolishing T1 and replacing it with a new terminal?
@TheElevatorChannel5 жыл бұрын
Not that I’m aware of. The main ticketing area is beautiful and historic. The concourses that were built on in the 70s were recently renovated and get the job done reasonably well. But they’re also overbuilt from the TWA days and the layout isn’t ideal. I suspect 10 or 20 years down the road, they’ll build a new linear concourse something like DTW’s and connect it to the historic ticketing area.
