Notorious Rick's C-Wash - Lake Ozark, MO - 2013 Revisit

Touch free rykos are not all that great to start with. Maybe u should find a maual one to settle the score, cuase the softgloss systems are awsome.

I use that car wash weekly so it's not broken. I'm not sure why it's taped up, but when you get gas you can buy a car wash and it prints out a code on your receipt. I'm sure it's not the best wash but for a $5.00 automatic wash it's pretty good. I've also never noticed a smell when using it so I'm not sure what that was about.

You actually need to revisit this place. There is a pdq Laserwash 360 + now. top wash is $10. But for $2 more at pay station, u can add carnauba hot wax.

As of a year ago according to street view the gas station looks like it was gutted and being rebuilt or is abandoned. There does appear to have the Laserwash360 and i suspect it has MaxAir offboard blowers. It may be closed for good

From the beginning, it seems like the worst wash ever. It seems like it is by the end. For the price, i agree but the wash itself, it's the worst. Dryers were good, but overall, wort maintained ever.

Well the fact that the wash is closed 2/3 times you go there definitely says something about it's reliability. I've always wanted to go across that dam. It looks very nice in the video, but I'm sure it looks even more narrow in person.

you do know you could of paid inside? they would give you a code, and you are supposed to enter it into the AMTT (The pay station)

A few others mentioned this. It seems terribly unlikely to me. If they took the time to tape over the slot for cash (which, by the way, did work in the past), don't you think they would have put a note or something on it saying that you needed to pay inside? There's a lot of people who don't know how this works, so they'd be cheating themselves out of a lot of business. Judging by the condition of the wash and the station itself, I'd say it broke and they had no plans in the near future to fix it. Many of the times I've driven by, they've placed a trash can in front of the bay to block it.

but the power was on, and It is NOT cheap to run those things! its on 3 Phase power which is like an entire house! They would most likely turn the power off if it was actually broken, judging by how cheap they run it. Most car washes here have tape over the pay station bill/credit acceptor, most likely to keep it cheap.

Car Wash Studios You know, I hadn't considered the power being on. That's not to say I haven't seen broken washes with the power left on before (in fact, during the St. Charles Rock Rd. Mobil video, the first two broken washes I found both still had the power on). In any case, if it really was working, they're doing themselves a huge disservice by not putting a sign on the console that says "pay inside". Just taping over the cash and credit slots really gave me the impression that the whole thing was broken, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would draw that conclusion. If I come back and find the same situation again, I'll be sure to try it. Maybe safe to call it a 50/50 shot.
