I totally relate to her. I am 45 and told that I look young for my age and get hit on by younger guys all the time. I don’t have a problem with that except I am looking for more than a booty call. The men my age, who you think would be at the same stage of life experience and worldliness are pursuing the 23 girl, in a sort of midlife crisis. If I could find a 23-year-old who has the worldly experience and wants to have a committed relationship, that’s great, but right now all the guys in the pool are either emotionally unavailable or looking for something younger, than their female contemporaries. Another generality, I’ve heard expressed by the 40 male population, is it’s because they want a girl who still looks after themselves. I want the same thing, but I find the guys in their late 30s and into their 40s often are not bringing the same to the table, themselves. Eventually, there has to be more substance to this dating game.
