When she admitted that she was practicing her speech under the towel because she wasn’t “that good at talking” she stole my heart. I was like OMG ME TOO!!! I CAN RELATE!! And the fact that she was completely honest about it and didn’t feel the need to change her persona (even for the Ellen show) is just awesome sauce.. love her!

100% I'm hungry for more like her and PRAY that they don't PREY on her. I'm actually glad Adidas is a sponsor vs. an American brand that will try to sexualize her or boost her ego and convert her into what Serena is now. I also hope, like most Asian moms, Naomi finds herself a 'nice Asian' boy or some 'normal' kid (regardless of color) who doesn't know anything about Hollywood. That's the best way to stay sane.

After her semifinal win, she stood in one place on the court for 2 minutes waiting for a few ball kids to leave an area so she could RECYCLE THREE BOTTLES OF WATER. She didn't ask them to move or anything. SUPER HUMBLE GIRL. Love her. I was wondering what she was doing for the entire 2 minutes -- until she threw the bottles into the bin. Filled my heart to see such class and humility from a 20 yo phenom.

Congratulations Naomi. I must admit that I was rooting for Serena but after seeing how you conducted yourself during the chaos of the match, I am glad that you won. I hope you never change who you are. Stay humble and stay sweet. I hope that you will be a great ambassador for the game for many years to come. Naomi is Japanese/Haitian so there were two black women playing each other. Only one of the two, had angry outbursts, called the ref a thief and denied being coached from the stands even though her coach ADMITTED to coaching her. I am a Serena fan. I was rooting for her big time at the start of the match. I think we can all agree that this wasn't her best moment and it overshadowed a remarkable match played by Naomi.

She also has every right to defend herself which I think she did professionally unlike many of her WHITE male peers: John McEnroe? The world better get used to BLACK WOMEN standing up for themselves! Lauren McMonigle ..well duh...anyone on stage would've felt bad. Umpire did his job.. And he is a very very strict umpire.. He treats everyone on the court equally. And he has done professional finals for years. She is a young woman who has just won and people are still focusing on the umpire and serena. Serena should've felt bad. SHE CREATED A POISONOUS ATMOSPHERE 😔

Offcourse she thought they were booing at her... Booing during the trophy presentation 👎👎 Boo Serena for not keeping her cool. Theyre just saying they wasnt booing at Naomi...coz looking back now...it makes them feel guilty as an audience..especially as Americans.. They booed at Naomi until Serena said to stop. The umpire is a very very strict person during any big game he takes part in.. Serena created a poisonous atmosphere..
