I’m a high school teacher. The amount of parents that are raggedy who then get soooo upset when their children are raggedy is WILD! If you beat your kid then you are choosing violence so WHY are you surprised that your kid comes to school and fights, which is choosing violence! Maury, just like "Doctor" Phil, is not about helping the people...its about showing them to the world like circus freaks and make money with it. Nobody watches those shows to see things work out, or seeing people get help. Its a spectacle of foul nonsense and everyone wants to see things escalate. I cant stand any of the people who host shows like this and this lives on the internet forever. Those poor kids. I disagree that kids will always act like their parents/become like them. Sure some do (like this girl), but I know many people (including myself) who are totally different than their parents. I never did what my parents did, we have different mentalities, personalities, we react totally different towards things and my views, values and even my faith does not come from them. I would hate it, if someone would judge me without knowing me, just based on knowing my parents.... The phrase: "The apple doesnt fall far from the tree", always made my skin crawl.

I work HARD to not make the same mistakes and still sometimes slip that’s ok because I KNOW my parents all in all aren’t horrible people and I love them regardless of the bad. Idk what your parents did to you but for your skin to crawl because someone compares you to your parents it must be bad lols.
