The controller at 2:22 looks like a hybrid between a Playstation controller, a Super Nintendo controller, and a North American/European Model 1 SEGA Saturn controller.

2:48 Well, I feel like that controller was most likely made for fighting games in mind, not RTS games judging by the 6 buttons on the front and the shape of the d-pad a la the Japanese and North American/European Model 2 SEGA Saturn controller.
