I know right. Also no Neil. That was a mental slap in the face considering that the Four of Them at one time or another got multiple NAACP Image Awards which is the longest running Civil Rights Organization in the US. Bill & Lee Phillip Bell must have turned over their in their Graves when they saw how the Show was under Mal Young's Direction. He was a Superstar on UK Soil with Brookside that is no longer on the air with the First Same Sex Kiss as well as taking Eastenders 1985-Present to a successful show. He forgot that UK & US Soaps are as different as Night & Day. Another former UK Writer was Daran Little who besides writing for Coronation Street, also wrote for All My Children and The Young & The Restless. He now writes for Eastenders.

@@laminage Actually, the Neil stuff was okay at 3:33, 4:10 and 4:20. But there is NO excuse for not including Drucilla and Malcolm since besides being the first enduring black family in soaps, the Barber-Winters were front and center for over a decade and their children are still on the show. Btw I love UK soaps and I think classic Young and Restless was similar to UK soaps: slow-paced and focusing on core families and confrontations instead of endless twists. Remember when it was just Victor and Nikki arguing every day or Drucilla and Olivia arguing every day? And maybe one big mystery going at the same time? Maybe they thought the Mal Young could bring back that old pace - but instead he ruined the show even more than before.

I was thinking the same exact thing! How can you not have Dru, Olivia, Malcolm, Nate, and lets not forget Aunt Mamie? Y&R was one of the few soaps that new how or should I say try to utilize the black characters on the show, which is better than other shows that barely had black people or had black people period.

They didn't show Malcolm, Olivia or even Drucilla. They were like The Four Black Musketeers back in the day, they gave so many fans such wonderful viewing. Also Tonya Lee Williams was an Icon in Toronto's Carribbean Community because it was such a thrill of seeing one of their own on America's Number One Soap. She was actually born in London, England.
