This kinda made me giggle too! The taxi drivers sound like someone you really don’t wanna annoy! 😬🚕 I’m excited for your last video here in Hong Kong, and where you’re heading next, hopefully somewhere nice! Really curious about trying one of those egg waffles now! There’s a place that does them here in London with ice cream and all sorts of stuff. Still waiting for the apartment tour! Once question I have about Hong Kong itself, are there any remnants of the period when the British leases Hong Kong from China? I noticed right hand drive cars and also the road markings look British but was there anything else that stood out?

Hope you get to try them! They were delicious 👌 We hadn't noticed much other than what you mentioned. Oh and the double decker city busses 🚌

Your trip up Victoria Peak reminds me of when I went up during a layover. I tried to walk up but got verryyyyy lost, and when I made it up it was so foggy I could hardly see a thing! Then on the way down a tropical storm came, and I got DRENCHED and had to go straight back to the airport soaking wet haha

"Everywhere you go, a car almost hits you. So watch out for that." Yikes 🤣 Be safe, you two! Reminds me of my mother and sister's experience in Australia. It's legal there for drivers to pass on the shoulder, which makes it really unsafe should there be pedestrians walking, cycling, etc. They almost were hit once because they didn't expect it. That egg waffle looked enjoyable, though! A nice light treat after walking around looking for a bus stop. I like that they offer so many interesting flavors.
@petersmith20405 жыл бұрын
I call that type of driving behavior "uncivilized." You can tell how civilized a society is by the way how its people treat each other in public. I've been to HK many times and I've seen all the nasty behaviors there from Chek Lap Kok Airport to inside 5-star hotels to inside supermarkets and convenience stores to out on the streets. I've also been to China and it's even worse there! I've also been to Australia many times and nastiest people are in Sydney! The people in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Canberra, and Perth are nicer.
@honiedew5 жыл бұрын
You guys made the most out of your Hong Kong trip! There are buses that go up to the peak too instead of taking the tram. It's an enjoyable ride up the mountain while you get to have some nice first hand views of some ridiculous hk real estate. I highly recommend it for people who have some time to spare, it's also significantly cheaper than the tram.
@katrinlausch30783 жыл бұрын
Recommended by the Michelin guide does not mean it had been "awarded" (mentioned) with a star. There are different option how you can make it into the book of each year (like the waffle stand was listed as recommendation for several years there, others are for instance the Bib Gourmand). But nice video, I like the flair.

Just a little tip - I don't find the Google Map was very good with HK bus route - at least that was my experience from being there 2 years ago. For future visits, I suggest that you download the KMB (Kowloon Motor Bus Compan) app. It will tell you exactly where you will find a bus stop and how many minutes you have to wait for your bus to hop on. Thank you for making videos for my birth city! It makes me want to visit again.
