The transfer portal is open and the first wave of moment came in the form of exits for Colorado, including 5⭐ recruit Cormani McClain. Uncle Neely breaks it all down.

Uncle Neely I have been rocking with you and Mr. Carr since JSU, and I always wait for your take on what's going on! I have recently unfollowed a lot of channels that started off in a good spot, but in their rush to be FIRST with breaking news have turned into the TMZ of college football. These are still young men trying to find their way on a VERY stressful and public path. Yes, this comes with the territory, but there is always a mature and respectful way to report on it. You and Mr. Carr ALWAYS bring the "Breaking News" with respect!! Thank you!

Family I had a very challenging work night on Tuesday, same Trajectory, we hired young men average age 19- 21 making 100k + Complaining about nothing. Work, PeriodT, what happened to the passion, what happened to the drive. Grow the heck up. Fight hard work hard. Responsibilities..love it, Tolly. Excellent content Momma Tia waving

Uncle Neely is polite and diplomatic. But I can be more direct here in these "comments streets." This transfer portal is exposing what many of us know, and CP has mentioned. A LOT OF THESE PLAYERS ARE DELUSIONAL ABOUT THEIR TALENT AND THINK THEY SHOULD BE PLAYING IN THE #1 SPOT ALREADY. It appears that a lot of these players are acting on their dreams of being in the NFL, but not in a smart manner. Their best shot of making a college team is staying on the team they are already on and moving up the depth chart. You never know what can happen - and no team can match the marketing pull of CU, hands down. The walk-on Charlie was in a national TV commercial with CP! If I had a son playing at CU, he would have to understand the true capacity of the CU opportunity, and keep his butt on that CU team. As CP said in an interview yesterday, the portal is a battle for the 2's and 3's. Also, he specifically discussed that players should be using back channels (i.e. somebody knows somebody in a program) to find a team BEFORE they hit the portal, and that CU coaches would even help the players find new teams. Finding a new team is best done via private coaches, trainers, high school coaches, other players, etc. Furthermore, will the players' egos let them go to a G5 school, similar to 5-star Malachi Nelson transferring from USC to Boise State? Sadly, many players will be stuck in the portal - no college, no team, no scholarship. These are the consequences of their decisions. The portal is showing all of us the hard reality, in real time, that college players are not accepting that 98% of them will NOT make it to the NFL. HARD KNOCKS.

If Cormani was doing what needed to be done, then the players coming in to try and take his position would definitely be a number 2 or 3 behind him. Is Travis Hunter doing what he has to do so no one is taking his position? Competition breeds greatness, and sometimes you are that guy until you meet someone better than you. Either step up or RUN AWAY. His decision is to run away since he couldn't win. Not just on the field because you must know the schemes and job of your position of that play. Not high school anymore.

His mother living with him added another dynamic to the situation. He needs to be away from her in order to grow. He has the pressure of earning enough to take care of himself and his mother and not to mention her being home sick. He is basically an husband, son, that has a family to take care of. That is too much pressure to put on a kid. I am sure there was tampering going on, using his mother as a conduit.

How many players that left were also in the professors letter? Don’t need to know. The Standard is the Standard. Can someone be so kind as to explain a couple of things to me.... when you get on the portal do you leave campus or you just can't have access to the team, food, training facilities...how does that aspect work. Most of the time players finish the school year and go to the new team the following year. To be more specific scholarship contracts are signed for a whole year 2023-2024 so you can still have financial aide and scholarship money until the contract year is up however the players won’t be doing nomore football activities mainly just going to classes and leaving for the new school in the summer and fall. Only exception is when a school offers you right after season ends you can commit and transfer right after Christmas break so you can participate in the spring with your new team. Hoped that helped a little bit…

All that NFL experience doesn't mean you can develop college athletes into NFL players. Nugget Warren was the #1 JUCO CB with Georgia and Bama offers, and wasn't developed.
