Coach Pollock is definitely HIM. He played college football at the University of Georgia. He’s been one of the top high school coaches in the state of Georgia. He’s been with Coach Prime at JSU in several coaching capacities. He’s top tier recruiter as well. I gotta give him all his flowers. He’s got a masters degree in education and actually taught in high school. He’s extremely loyal to Deion Sanders and the consummate professional. 🖤💛🦬

Just wanted to say has anyone noticed the change in Smitty🙌🏾. First episode you could tell he was that Guy when it came to equipment operations. Now you can see how a different and I would say a better leader emerge. Dawgs only begat Dawgs. Thanks Smitty for all you do for the team and as a Veteran I can see your “growth” as a much more confident yet still humble leader. Coach Lewis is the D-line coach. Coach Sapp is a Hall of Famer with other commitments during the off season. There is no football coaching going on. The only coaches that will be allowed with the players are the strength and condition coaches for the next 8 weeks. The football coaches will leave packets on their desks for the position group captains to pick up for the player-lead practices that you will see for the next couple of months. The football coaches get 5 weeks of spring ball and the spring game which is counted as one of the allowed practices. Then the players go to the summer workout with the Strength and condition coaches again. The football coaches get than late July for fall camp before the season begins.

the first thing they need to do is find a real Div 1 place kicker. I know he likes Mata but he does not have the leg strength to complete at this level. The buffs are at a real disadvantage without a strong accurate leg.

Mata is tied for first in XP and tied for 5th in Big 12. He was 12-15 for FG with (2) being over 40 yards. Mata is progressing just fine as he develops.

@@marksmith3396 hello mark, I believe Mata is past the progressing point. If you watch the power and height difference in his kicks, his 40 kicks are the max of his range. Watch pre game, others have 60 +yd strength, he doesn’t. CU has had great kickers to watch in the past, I’m not being critical of him personally in any way but like a baseball catcher you either have the gun or you don’t. Go watch pre game warm up and you’ll see.

You would think that the NFL will have two kickers one for the long and one for the short.

The NFL has a small roster. 53 active and 17 practice squad. if you go two deep at all position you are already at 44 (22 Offense, 22 Defense) so they can only carry one kicker that needs to be able to do long and short FG's and Kick off as well. College you can have 105 players. That is why you see double numbers on players.
