I feel like everyone who wants this size should just get it. The MagSafe battery works great and you can throw it in your other pocket or backpack/bag for the day and there’s no need to panic charge. I love my 12 mini. I hadn’t planned on upgrading this year until I saw this one. I agree that it’s the perfect size for me. I had found that I was doing more on my iPad to the point where I didn’t need my phone to have the bigger screen to do any or most of that. It fits in most places I’d carry it much better than any other phone I’ve had recently. The fact that it’s current with almost everything iOS offers is awesome. I also like the video stabilization as well which makes me feel like I’m not losing out on anything. It’s just a perfect size for what I want in a cellphone.

I just bought 12 mini due to price drop in the Netherlands. 64GB version is enough for me as I keep most of my stuff on drive. I could’ve gotten 13 mini but 159€ is a lot of money for me maybe not for a lot of pep but it is for me. Little bit of battery life isn’t enough for me to spend that extra money. Mini is the best size.

coming from a xs and absolutely loving my mini! reduced my screen on time by about 50% as it made me realize that i’ve been mindlessly doomscrolling insta etc. the camera is outstanding and the battery is pretty decent for a phone this small. no regrets. plus it reminds me of my OG iphone se which was stolen sadly :(

Im definitely getting the Mini , Im getting sicker of bigger phones , putting straps in the back and cases and they get huge bricks , somehow with time people will appreciate the mini sizes , it takes time , give it a time , even if they don't release mini every year its fine , I see myself holding that for quite awhile . I got the 12 mini in August 2021, just before the 13 mini came out. I love it thought and I especially love the dark blue colour. The only downside is that if I'm using my phone for a longer time, or have bad signal all day, the battery struggles a bit now, but I got a MagSafe battery for Christmas which solves that issue and has given it a few more years of life. I love my 12 mini and won't give it up until it breaks in half!

I love the mini for the size. Coming from a 7 it’s perfect. I still don’t get all the battery complaints. It has been way better than my 7 was new. I have never had an issue with it lasting me the day. If I throw it on a charger for a while at lunch I’m ending the work day over 90%, and I pretty much listen to music and podcasts on it all day. I really hope they continue to offer this form factor in the future in some capacity.

For me, it lasts the same (about 8 to 12 hours) as my Nokia 3 new a couple of years ago. And that says a lot, because that phone had 4000mAh battery or something, and I charge my iPhone at about 94% max (normally at 83 or 88%) v. 100% on my Nokia.

Downsides IMO -Battery isn’t the best but charges quick -Is not/doesn’t have a Pro model(camera mainly) If you wanna get personal -Still SLIGHTLY too big(somewhere between this and first gen SE 👌) again IMO -headphone jack would be convenient Also whatever apple used on the front iPhone 12 screen put that on the back glass too. I, myself, love compact phones and I will forever love compact phones. It all started with Sony Xperia's Z compact series! I think the small screen size should not be a huge issue, because we can just get a tablet if we want a bigger screen for media consumption. That's why they exist. That's their purpose. I think the only way for a new iPhone mini to have a longer battery life is a very-well optimized iOS software just for the iPhone minis. Apple can totally pull this off, because they'll be decreasing software capabilities in terms of powering certain features "on bigger displays" without compromising the experience that you can get from the latest iOS version from the non-mini iPhones. This way, I think it can then redeem the iPhone 12 mini's flop and have the iPhone mini line ups going. Imagine... "iOS mini 1". And they can last as long as their bigger brothers, the iPhone Pro & Pro Max devices. I mean, it's like iPadOS but less work for Apple devs to do. And I think in order for this new gig to not "fail" is for Apple to put a new technology (except for the iOS mini and the higher ppi) that is not available on non-mini iPhones.

I haven't bought the mini because a short while before it's release I siwtched back to iOS from Android by getting the iPhone 11. I find this phone a little too big/heavy for my liking, partly because I broke my pinky, and by now I have a MacBook and iPad to compensate for the smaller screen. I’ve had one for a couple of months now, and I can confidently say that I’m impressed. When Apple said this is the iPhone 12 in a smaller body, they did not lie. The performance, when it comes to the A14, is overkill for what you need (seriously, I don’t know how much Apple can improve on speeds with the A15). The ram is the same as the regular 12 (4 gigs is plenty to run IOS). The screen is beautiful (though there does seem to be some yellow tint issues on some of the 12 models, so watch out for that). The speakers aren’t the loudest, but they are pretty clear sounding, and do get pretty decently loud. The one issue with this phone, and everyone says it, is the battery life. Don’t get me wrong, I would say that the battery life is a tad underrated for what your getting, but it’s still a little noticeable. I would say normally you’re gonna get 4 hours of screen on time, which is… okay, but not ideal. Ofc, the standby time is excellent, and from my experience, I’ve been able to get up on 100 percent, go to work, and easily make it to the end of the day with at least 60% remaining, which isn’t amazing, but it can more than get me through with medium usage. That being said, hopefully there will be an IPhone 13 mini, and they can improve on the battery life (I’d say a 2600 cell could push the battery life into the A tier of battery life), because that’s all the mini needs to truly be perfect.

I brought the iPhone 12 mini Friday two days ago and I absolutely love it. But, has anyone noticed that it gets warm when your watching KZbin videos? Can somebody tell me if that’s normal. Also is it safe to use an apple certified 20W charger with the iPhone 12 mini?

i don’t think they’ll sell the mini once the 13 comes out. They’ve halted the production of it and i think they’ll just keep the regular 12

I personally prefer android, and I have for years. But since Android does not have a properly fast small phone I am really considering the SE2, 12 mini or the new small version from the next generation when I can pick a new phone in half a year. Haven`t used iOS in over 8 years for my daily phone. But it is the only type of phone that fits what I want to get out of it.

I like small phones too! And for the same reasons. Also, I have a tablet so a big phone is even less necessary for me.

Yes you should definitley wait and get the iphone 13 mini. The battery is A LOT better than the 12 mini, which makes the device infinitely more practical. 9 hours screen on time baby!

If u consume more content and socio guy Then u go for 12.. But if u r medium user and having lap or ipad Then go for 12 mini

The 12 Mini is really tempting. I'm waiting to see how much the price will fall now, though part of me thinks that the 13 mini will be pivotal so I expect Apple to try hard with it

The 12 mini starts at 64 gb. If you want 128, the 13 mini is only $50 more than 128gb 12 mini.
