The parents are more concerned with being hurt and they had a child with an ex who moves on then the neglect comes in because parents can't put their children first.. Just a small part of how any grooming starts.... In the home... Then the kids want to be part of something outside the home! Groomers spot the weakness in the kids in the villages the towns the city's then the real abuse and trauma starts! The government can make as many enquiry as possible but supporting families to become more united through education would nip some of the grooming because then parents can spot the signs a child is in that situation.. I am a victim and want an enquiry please… there are tens of thousands of women like me, and im hearing about “of the survivors I’ve spoken to”… and not a mention of speaking to a survivor who would want an enquiry .. what a mockery of the word survivor, and taking advantage of it eluding to having moved on/ things in the past., I tell you straight … I’m not writing this as a convenient survivor-like a cancer survivor in remission, or a survivor of a car accident who learnt to walk again… I will carry this for the rest of my life, I imagine. I’m glad that it’s come up… and as for mud slinging, why does it matter if someone is only speaking up on it in parliament now… why does that devalue her point.. surely , this conversation is happening because the issue has gained traction and is of public interest- how can it not be!? And if it’s not been covered by the mainstream for 8 years, then it will go to the back of the publics minds… we are cold, hungry and working our fingers to the bone, to pay for important things, such as this.
