The meaning I feel this song has: War. I believe it's a war song. The chorus is simply a soldier left in the battlefield wounded, and he hopes "someone carries me home tonight" In a casket, or to a hospital. Another reason is when J3T says "You gave us all guns, and they were all loaded. Teach us how to shoot, but you taught us how to told them" was Johnny saying soldiers are cheaps, and all they know is to hold the gun. And when he says "and all the weight of all the world is inbetween your shoulders" he is referencing that that VERY gun is the weight of the world. Who bleeds for their country, who gains for yours. I'll give one more. When J3T says "so mothers hold your children and don't ever let 'em go" is either a reference to how young men ( 18 + ) could be drafted into a large war, or children in grief.

I feel as if Danny's lines. "Who left the door open? Who left me outside? I'm on my knees and I'm hoping that someone holds me tonight." Means that he saw that the door was open, so then he wandered outside to find nobody there, and that he was all alone. He was lured into this situation where he was alone, and now he is to his knees, possibly begging for forgiveness as if he was being punished by lonliness for something he has done. Him being on his knees can also be saying that the silence and the loneliness drove him mad and he broke down and we wants to be saved from whatever he walked into when he wandered outside. And he keeps asking who left the door open because he wants to know who lured him into this hell known as Outside, wherever he is. And I feel as if he can't go back inside because he can no longer find his way back home.

Doesn't this song bring back nostalgia? It does for me. This was my song, back when child services dumped me in Residential School. It's funny, cause it's one of those classic sob stories of a kid from a broken home, pushed aside by a corrupt system because they didn't know what else to do with me. Music, and much especially by Hollywood Undead have been my solace through some of my darkest days, and phases in life, and mostly the reason i'm still breathing today. To the people debating the meaning of "Who left the door open? Who left me outside?" Here's what I think. When I hear the words "Who left the door open" it's because in the winter it's cold outside. And if someone leaves the door open even just a crack, the heat escapes. You feel it get cold and then someone like Mom says those words. So the words "who left the door open?" to me means someone left the door open one's heart and emotions. Someone came in your life, left, and left the door open, leaving you hurt and letting the cold in... Then from another angle, a different yet similar comparison "Who left me outside" also creates a similar feeling of hurt. In this case it is loneliness. When you get left outside in the cold, you are left behind. You are cast aside and not cared about. Then the next two lines, "I'm on my knees and I'm hoping that someone holds me tonight. Holds me tonight." further reinforce that interpretation that when you're lonely, you really want someone to be there for you and hold you in those cold cold nights. That's my 2 cents. I can relate to this song. If I heard this song back in 2013, I'd be bawling because of how perfectly this song described me and my life back then. Therefore, the lyrics of the song come so natural to me. They click and make sense. That's why this song is so powerful.

TBH this song has made me feel sad over time from remembering old things like exes or just family that are gone. May not line up with the lyrics but the song makes me remember good times and often makes wish for those times to continue. As cheesy or how it sounds, this song is really good.
