The Nidarosdomen concert is simply an artistic masterpiece of the highest possible quality (Aurora, her band, the orchestra, the choir, the venue, the staging, the camera work, the sound engineering, the production values). As for the impact Aurora has, we are all special in our own way but there are some who have a few extra layers of "special" and this young artist has so many extra layers that it is difficult to keep track of them all. For instance, in this performance she tears one's heart to shreds, then at the end there is that sweet smile that lets you know that everything will be alright.

You make a lot of sense to me. It is like she doesn't have words to convey the emotions she feels, so she uses pure sound to express them. It works very well, I get so emotional listening...🥺

I agree with everything you say🥰 In an interview she said: "'Through the Eyes of a Child' is one of the most important songs for me. It's about, the older you get, the more you see, and it's kind of like you miss the times when you thought everyone was nice, and that everything was nice, because it's hard to know all the darkness. Also we have lots of light, and I know that as well. But it's kind of like wanting to go back to the innocence, and see the world through the eyes of a child. It's a very important song for me." This whole concert is really worth watching 😍 And when she sings Murder Song it’s different from her performance at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. I feel it’s more dramatic 😍

She sings about wanting to see the world thru the eyes of a child. Then .. she DOES it. She does it! And thats what makes her magical.
@staffankarlsson142810 ай бұрын
"Please don't leave me here...." turns things around in the performance. It makes you think. What she refers to is the child that she once was. That child want's to be in you all the way and not be left behind.

Amazing reaction Phil. What you just expressed is EXACTLY how we feel about Aurora and her music. And you are 100% correct about her vocalizations being an extension of her communication. Its just an emotionaly spiritual experience listening to and watching her. And I know its obviously the same for you. Thanks for this. Cheers.

This song is epic. I can not say more about that. Epic. The simplest truth told in simple words. No room for interpretation. Can a song say more? The music and the voice go to the heart. Have a nice week and Greetings from Germany

You are human boyo... her words and voice touch a primal and basic chord in every feeling human. I have never seen a single reaction to this song by her, that didn't shed a few happy tears! There is no shame in losing your control for a moment (or three)... that is what she's going for with her music, for you to feel and be present in that moment with her. I've seen men in their 70s brought to tears by her! As you've stated before... she's channeling that other world where her spirit is dancing, into the physical vessel for her voice that is here with us. 🤟🥲

Nidaros Cathedral is a cathedral of the Church of Norway located in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county. It was built over a 230-year period, from 1070 to 1300. It is built over the burial site of King Olav II, who became the patron saint of the nation,and is the traditional location for the consecration of new kings of Norway.

Gotta be the most beautiful lyrics I've ever heard or ever will hear. "When a human strokes your skin, that is when you let them in, let them in before they GO (die in my mind)...[or forever move away] I would rather live life with a childlike soul..." Human lives are like fireworks going off, our lives are so short relative to the universe. Every touch of a loved one that you let in (when we drop the painted facade we put on for society) truly is an irredemable spark of light in our personal worlds. That person is unique and that moment will never happen again.

Yep, this song makes me cry every single time I listen to it (including right now), bc it reminds my of my mom (who passed 11ish yrs ago) and a good childhood that I didn't appreciate. Aurora has said that she has a language she made up when she was younger and has used it in Forgotten Love and A Different Kind of Human. They don't have word meanings but are emotional. She said they can mean whatever you need them to at the time. You also mentioned spiritual. I got to see her live in May and that is exactly how I felt the performance was, 'spiritual'. The performance, all the other people there, her energy, other fans' energy, etc..

It's too bad about the blocking on the video. There is a young male singer who is highlighted during what I like to refer to as Aurora's aria, singing accompaniment, and I always imagine that he was thinking how he was singing with an angel, and that he would remember it always as having been the greatest of privileges.
