Exactly. He's been doing call backs to earlier eras in music. Lady Gaga has revealed that she has quit smoking completely and went "cold turkey" on the habit. The singer told New Music Daily on Apple Music, "I swear on my life I'm not smoking cigarettes." Gaga detailed how "brutal" it was kicking the habit, but that she's not going back.
@bobs.20083 ай бұрын
I'm with Gaga on this one. I smoked for over thirty years,.had quit a number of times and always slipped back into it with ease. Finally I was miserable enough to really, really want to leave it behind me. As she notes, it is brutal! -- I picked a day, grit my teeth & clenched my fists, and kept reminding myself why I was going through it. It does eventuallly get better! Over eight years quit now. I still occasionally get a craving, but not too often and not too strong. :-)

I'm someone who is very picky when it comes to pop songs, it's just not my favorite genre or style. However, I love this one very much. The melody and lyrics are very beautiful. It pictures a distinct scenery of a couple dancing a waltz, smiling at each other while looking into each other's eyes, the world slowly crumbling apart around them. Their voices vibe together well, and one can absolutely tell they put a lot of work into it, making the most out of a simple melody and harmony by adding all these nuances, making it flow and dance.

The word which keeps coming to my head as I listen to the song is "ethereal". Granted the entire song isn't light and airy, we are after all talking about the end of the world so there need to be loud parts as well, but the delicate parts are so tender and loving and above all believable. I agree with your mention of Lady Gaga as a duet performer. I think she duets out of great appreciation for all the other artists and that adoration always shines.
