My family isn't doing baskets this year. I'm 20, and the youngest in our family is 13. My parents say that this year, we can all just pick out something within a certain range of money as a gift. No easter egg hunt. No special treats. No baskets. I guess this day was bound to come. Even though I am an adult, it still makes me a little sad that last year was my last "childhood" easter celebration. Thank you for sharing, Jennifer! We use to do an adult egg hunt. Our uncle would hide $20 in one egg for adults only to go find after the kids had found their eggs. It was good fun. Adults can make fun with the holidays although a bit diff than regular childhood ones. It’s good to cherish the past but don’t be sad :)

i miss presents. im in my 30s and havent really had presents since maybe my early 20s. it does make holidays not appealing anymore. i miss my childhood. presents, egg hunts, all kinds of stuff

I am so happy. I finally found those Hershey bunnies. They are my daughters absolute favorite. The only store selling them in my area was Walmart. I just ran down there last Friday and grabbed a few more Easter items.

In our family we have to search and find every gift, snack and treat. We use the basket only for carrying the things we found. And when everything is found, the kids meet in the middle of the carpet and sort the presents, share all treats all by themselves - love it! The sharing part is my favorite Easter tradition :) we gift real eggs too!
