I noticed that Daigo sometimes intentionaly lose at first set like he was studying his opponent.

That is a basic tactic from PROs, going easy the first rounds to see the opponent tactics. There is this video about Justin Wong doing it against a unknown teenager but the stupid teen believe he legit win the first game against Justin Wong and start to laugh at Justin so Justin proceed to destroy him merciless and the poor guy start yelling in agony while the crowd laugh at him. Sadly never find the video again. :'(

Feels more like Kakeru lost because he mismanaged his bars than Daigo playing at a top level. Still, the amount of patience he showed waiting for Kakeru to burn out is pretty impressive.

kakerus char seems quite overpowered. Its got aerial attacks AND defense, instant AND delayed projectiles, long melee ranges and on top of everything each attack hits harder. Ken had trouble getting near and when he did the damage paled in comparison. Newer released characters seem to powercreep the old by a lot. The player skills may be approx the same but this by no means is a fair fight.

Bruh did you even watch Daigo's stream? Before this Daigo used to be defeated by Kakeru a lot, also got eliminated or sent to losers many times in tournament by Kakeru. Just watch his Reject Fight Night fight vs Kakeru, he can't win even once against him. I like Daigo a lot, but you don't have to lie or trashing AB just because you like Daigo.
