@@gentamustaine Daigo vs Itazan is an everlasting classic, it is the most thematic rivalry in the game, it can rival any other for the oldest of rivalries in the SF series. Where other elites can handle Itazan easily, Itazan matches extremely well with Daigo. There is no explanation , it's like in the DNA that these two really bring the best of each other out.

It took long enough but Zangief is one of the Street Fighter Gods. He changed the game for grapple characters. The fact that he rushes now makes him so dangerous.

I dont play street fighter but it looks like Zangief needs a nerf. Those throws literally take like 25% of the opponents health bar. Absolutely crazy

Akuma has some of the lowest health in the game and Punish Counter increases the damage of moves further, so SPDs only do that kind of damage against him. Zangief is already considered a bottom tier character, he does not need nerfs.

@Di7manya I don't know man. That damage does not seem like bottom tier to me. Seriously watch it again That spinning power bomb takes like 1/4 of the healthbar.

@@halcyonramirez6469 Again, thats damage you can only do to a very low health character and its far from easy to get those SPDs off since you can't combo into them. Most other characters can keep you out of reach and heavily punish mistakes with more damage than what an SPD does. Zoners can really make his life hell, because he doesn't have as many tools to get in, and they don't die as easily as Akuma.
