I don't love the idea for basketball but to be fair to the 5 year eligibility idea, the NCAA has to think about more than just basketball and the average college completion time these days is actually 4.5 years. It's the same problem they've always had where it's like, okay are you regulating to create a fun and profitable sports league or are you regulating for the student experience?

Tennessee lost 66-62 to IU in Knoxville (preseason game) Myles Rice clearly outplayed Ziegler in the game. Though IU made 4 of 19 threes to Tenn 8 of 35. Illinois had Tenn beat before the Ilini made 2 lame turnovers near the end of the game. IU is coming and finding themselves even though their leading scorer, Reneau, was out both games this week; GO HOOSIERS!!! If Michigan gets more consistent guard play they can beat anyone. Illinois is a top 7 team now.

In that game, Barnes played everyone that was dressed. He didn't play his regular season rotation. Had he, Tennessee would have beat IU by 10. Like how you go to a preseason exhibition to try and prove your point. Tennessee is undefeated. What is IU's record? As far as Illinois, the result matters, not what could have been. Plus, that game was in Illinois' arena. You sure are trying to stretch everything to fit your agenda.
