I think you could expand on Meat by having Special Forces seize Shang Tsung's island and go through his research in the Flesh Pits. Have them find Meat and he gets loose for a while, then in his ending they find him and complete him using what they learned from Shang Tsung's research, giving him a chance at a good life.

The MK3 explanation of Jax choosing purposely to uparmor his arms to defend Earthrealm against the monsters of Outworld is badass. That narrative puts him over a lot more. I also think he has some sort of chi power that makes him stand out even more than other soldier characters. I think this was alluded to in the "Repect Jax" video. John Tobias has confirmed that Sonya has chi and that her "rings" projectile is not tech.

I love how Nitara's potential was recognized. Nitara definitely needs work, but can be one of the best characters if enough effort is added into her character.
