I do have to agree. If you tell me you want your space, I'll give you your space. If you come back and you're mad at me because I gave you your space, I'll get mad at you right back for not being upfront with me. Foreigners don't like mind games. Tell us what you want. Don't say something you don't really want and then get mad at me because I gave you what you asked for. One Filipina GF I had we got in a fight. She then said she didn't want to be with me anymore. I guess she expected me to "fight" for her and beg her to stay, but that didn't happen. As soon as she said she didn't want to be with me, I told her fine, you're free to leave. She then got mad and started crying and begging me to stay, but I'm not having that. I don't play mind games. If you tell me you want some space. I'll give you your space. If you tell me you hate me, I take what you say to heart. Don't try and play mind games to try and "test" my love for you. I love you enough not to play mind games with you and I expect the same in return.

This has been pretty much my experience meeting women in the Philippines. Don't be creepy, clean apperance, be open to new experiences, politely approach and take the lead on dates. It's hard to really appreciate the cultural differences around dating unless you actually visit. Pea does a great job with the virtual experience.
@aicy50203 жыл бұрын
I believe by saying "creepy" she was suggesting "dirty old men" should stay off young girls in their 20's or even younger; a bit of an insult because of all the money they spend on these poor women to keep them happy.
@gregorymacaleese63723 жыл бұрын
I've been married to my Filipina wife for 13 years. We are blessed with two young boys (my first children) and have a happy lifestyle. It takes patience and understanding to make this type of relationship work. My wife is very smart but can be reserved, primarily because of her lack of confidence in speaking English. One thing foreigners should know about Filipinas...they love passionately and are very jealous. Do not take them for granted because you can crush their souls, which can be tragic. I am supportive of her family and really enjoy them. Many foreigners I know don't like having a close relationship with their wife's family. I think this is a mistake. One of the major attractions of Filipinas is their close relationships with their families. I embrace my wife's family and have some of them and their children live with us in the Philippines. I view it as being similar to an Army company. The children are like soldiers...undisciplined and learning their way. The mother are like platoon sergeants, nipping at the heels of their troops to teach them and keep them in line. My wife is like the First Sergeant, making sure the mothers do their jobs properly. And me? I'm like the Captain. I sit on my ass and do nothing and make sure the bills are paid.

I'm impressed! I'm not considering an ex-pat life or a Filipina partner for myself, but have sometimes thought about an uncle who was one of the very early ex-pats who settled in the Philippines with a Filipina wife. We're talking over 40 years ago! As a kid, I couldn't understand why someone would make this choice. But now, my best guess? While it was a different era, I suspect he discovered the same qualities, attitudes and perspectives shared by this later generation of Filipinas. While I don't know that this panel is representative of the population in general, their education and thoughtfulness represents this group very well. And to be honest, especially considering their age, they outclass most of the western women I encounter day-to-day merely by their use of vocabulary and cogent expression. Adorable girls. I hope they find partners worthy of them!
@amadoparragua69893 жыл бұрын
This three women represents, for my lack of more appropriate vocabulary, the educated and conservative middle-class Filipinas. They're not typically those who opt for men way older than them. For the Filipinas that do, we cannot deny the reason of having a dream to have the basic comforts of life which they cannot have with their insufficient daily cash, if married to ordinary working men. I personally believe this is the main reason, otherwise, they would not settle with men, as old as their father or even grandfather, sometimes. But this reason is always proven immaterial and unimportant, by the many foreign men and Filipinas whose long marriage and partnership have lasted both with success and happiness. Hopefully, all foreign men do their job of asking and knowing the experiences and facts from guys who've gone through the search for finding Filipina partner or wife. Unfortunately, there are some Filipinas that look for cash machines, but they do not represent the generally good ones and it would be nice to hear soon that those bad ones are being penalized.

ThAts why older men in an age gap relationship should have a fund on the side in their home country that is to be given to their younger partner in their will. This should not be known to the Filipina or her family (to prevent a potential motive for foul play). This should be discussed with your estates executor as a binding wish in your part. It should have a declaration of a minimum time the relationship must exist for this “gift” to kick in (maybe 2 years) then should increase until the day of death. This will allow the Filipina to adjust again to life on her own and rebuild a future.

18:48 Glad that you said *Norway* because it tells me you have great taste. I live in Norway btw. Beautiful country, wild nature, mild-natured people for the very most part who are not confrontational, drama-driven, not aggressive for the very most part, which adds greatly to the nature and natural beauty of this country - any Norwegian here can attest to this - it's definitely one of the most beautiful countries in Europe with many positive trimmings. And I say all this as one from the UK, an ex-Londoner, but I'd never give up Norway for London, a dreadful thought.

I'm so impressed by these young women and as a man can't help finding them attractive but I hope that they dont judge themselves or feel their value is in whether old white men want to date them. These ladies are the future of the Philippines and it makes me hopeful. I hope they go change the world.

Hi Pea, what are these ladies education levels and where did they grow-up? And if they attended college, was it in the province or city? Am impressed with the level of conversation.
@TheFilipinaPea3 жыл бұрын
They’re all either college educated or currently attending. They’re from in and around (the provinces of) Dumaguete, and Mika was from Bacolod, a city to the north on my same island 👍

education? definitely not in human behavior... I been Psychological Profiler for 15 years. That big age gap bs is not good at all. It just a norm in some countries. Specifically older men who find themselves sexually attracted to much younger women all have the same Psychological Profile as the Lust/Serial Killer and the Pedophile/Serial Killer. If filipinas had more pre- informed social experience like women of more developed countries, these girls would be running from much older men. Just like the women from America who these older men can't seem to get. Even older women of more developed countries know better than to date/marry these kinds of men.

The middle girl saying have patience. true with different cultures. But communication is key. Always be open and honest in your relationship on both sides. Be up front in what you want from each other. Surprises after the relationship starts can cause problems.

Pea, you did a great job in finding three filipinas who so well represent the best of the Philippines. You might do a show on ways for foreigners to STAY in the Philippines with their love. It is an important issue.

Another great video. All three of those ladies certainly have good heads on their shoulders. They are insightful, thoughtful, and seem very honest about their views. I find age Gap relationships rather crazy. I would worry about keeping up with someone significantly younger than myself. Thanks for another great video.
