Lifetime commitments are not really to the other person. It's a commitment to yourself to make the relationship work. The problem is when both parties aren't committed to the relationship then the one not committed becomes spoiled. Spoiled people can never be happy by definition. They get more and more unhappy as time passes. This is why love at first sight and online marriage can work...both must be committed to the relationship. IMO this type of commitment has the best chance long term...but the first couple years can be rough. IMO there's no way to know how a person will be in a relationship until they're in the relationship. These things are extremely dynamic. People change, physically and literally as neurons are formed and connections change as we experience different things. So for me it's about commitment to the relationship.

I have immense respect for you, Pea. I do not agree that a child owes anything to their parents, and I even disagree with any parents who would allow their child to do something exceptional like paying for their home. (Unless the kid wins the lottery or starts Google or something.) So the fact that you do this for your parents is absolutely worthy of the highest respect. It's the one and only thing I find problemabic about the culture, but I understand it. I've written before about your other many, many wonderful personality traits. Then, over the past 8 months, I've been online in a relationship with a filipina who has become the love of my life. I give you a lot of the credit for making this possible by introducing me not just to the personalities and traditional views of many filipino women but also the culture of the Philippines. I am absolutely in love with the culture of your country. It honestly feels like the America I've always read about from the 1940's and 1950's. In truth, during that time period (right after the Great Depression and World War II) women were seeking simple stability. They were looking for a man who was a good provider, and their primary focus was to make a nice home for their husband. A man who would just keep a roof over her head and food on the table. Men were looking for a traditional woman who would be a great wife and mother to their children. There were no obsessions about politics. No one cared who made more money in their career. There were no rivalries for who wore the pants in the household. There was no obsession to own the biggest house on the block. And yes, marriage and family were the main goals for most women. A lot of American women would benefit greatly from simply understand that there's nothing wrong with a little humility. The women in the Philippines (at least the one I'm interested in marrying) identifies as a wife and mother first -- not a mandatory equal partner who gets angry is the man dares to make a decision on his own. That does NOT mean I want a subserviant wife. Quite the opposite, I want a strong partner. But I want clearly defined traditional roles. I will provide for our family. Everything outside the house is my concern. And everything inside the house is my wife's domain. My wife is the boss of a LOT of decisions. But we know our traditional roles. I'm so excited to start a new life, and I only regret not doing it sooner. But I didn't discover your channel until this past year, and that's when my life changed. So are you an influencer? No. You are much, much more. For me, Pea, you have been a life changing miracle worker and every truth bomb has opened my eyes to the magic of a culture that will literally let me go back in time to the most romantic period in American history. It's the America we all dream of while we watch the news today with nothing but riots, gang violence, political chaos, and racial hate every single day here.

That's great that you found yourself a woman. But, just be careful. My wife is a filipina, but my girlfriend before my wife was an online relationship for a while. Later I found out that she was just a scammer and had some 40+ men on the hook that sent her money every month. Just make sure that she is a loyal and faithful woman. Good luck to you.

I hate scammers and I shake my head everytime I hear a foreigner saying they've been scammed vy a Filipina. What makes them fall into a woman that asks, always asks for money? The moment you hear money is a very clear sign of a scam and yet, foreigners, many of them give money anyway and complain later.

I would know, I have been searching for almost three decades around the globe for the purest thoughts and intentions that can be seen and learned by talking to people in person and spending time with them. I literally lived for her and my kids, because as long as they were happy, healthy, and contented, _I_ was happy. You get out of it what you put into it, but when you truly love somebody you're not at all focused on what _you_ are getting out of it; that will take care of itself. There're more to it. There's actual neurochemical affects, and though I cannot remember offhand what it's called, your brain wires itself into an emotional need of a person over time. Love is literally real,.. but it takes time and it's relatively easily damaged. It is not actually an exaggeration to say that there are people who have died of a "broken heart" after their partner left or died, themselves (except for the "heart" expression part of it). It does actually happen. This even happens to animals and pets, sometimes.

Been driving a Semi for 11 years and I am now dieting and managed to lose 14 pounds in 3 months there's a much easier way and that's happiness. Pea, you are so smart! Whatever lucky man ends up being Mr. Pea is going to be a super lucky man! Youth and Beauty... NO. beauty, yes. Youth is not necessarily a good thing. Physically that's great. Mentally that's a HUGE pitfall. So I'm attracted to beauty and intelligence. First, you see beauty, but you get to know the person and THAT is really what you fall in love with. So, beauty attracts a man (and youth does not equal beauty... beauty is in the eyes of the beholder... some men like short women, some like tall, some like short hair, some like long, some like skinny, some like fat, so like big boobs, some like little boobs... I could go on but you get the idea), and maturity, intelligence, and similar goals and interests are what build a lasting foundation and really where love comes from and gives love staying power. Partnership... I use that word all the time. That's EXACTLY what a relationship really is. Number of partners... Quite honestly, one of the reasons I chose my wife was because of her experiences. I didn't want a naïve virgin. I have a question I hope you'll answer in a future video... Will you ever cut your hair? I LOVE LOVE LOVE long hair. My wife has very long beautiful hair, just like you. I think it's extremely attractive, but I understand it's hard to care for. I help my wife comb her hair and sometimes wash it... whatever I have to so that she won't cut it, hahaha. Also, will you meet subscribers if they are in or near Dumaguete if they ask? When the quarantines are finally gone, my wife and I will be back to the Philippines to see her family and do some travelling around. I know we'd both love to meet with you.

Pea bring to the table.. Modest, loyal, intelligent and her share of hard work to the relationship. Loyalty to spouse should always come first especially if someone is a Christian and believe what Bible says as long as partner does the same and doesn't go against marriage promises or abuse the other partner.

Everything you wanted to know about Pea but was afraid to ask! I love this. I have a question...why is it acceptable for so many Filipino men to live like lazy bums while the females around them work themselves to death? Why isn't there more pressure for Filipino men to get off their lazy butts and be more responsible and productive? It seems like everywhere you look, the women are working and the men are sleeping, drinking, or sitting on their butts. As a hard working westerner, I'm curious about this phenomenon. You touched on having your partners back no matter what and also not nagging him about him living the best life he can but showing him. Pea, I agree with you 100% on what love true love means. It took me 65 years, and an online relationship with a Filipino (yes, yes, I know, I know) to figure that out. But she taught me that making her happy made me happy. And I had never experienced that until I met her. She comes first. Knowing I've made her happy makes my heart soar.

Great video peeping Pea.. I'm now 48 years old, and I do realize how things change as we age. And I think the #1 thing for me is that outside beauty isn't nearly as important as inside beauty.. ( I would absolutely not agree with that 20 years ago). Finding someone who you really want to hang out with, be your best friend as well as your lover is a must for me now. Honestly some of the most beautiful women are not good for anything but to look at... lol ( that goes both ways) Anyway, onward and forward Pea!
