The way he answered, fumbled, thought through feels relatable and sincere. Doesn't sound plastic, preachy and well trained like how most of tge actors sound these days in interviews. We can clearly that its a charade! This guy comes across genuine and lovable. And his body language makes a lot of difference...he comes across as affable and cute unlike those star kids who seem so well in control, well trained and that sense/air of arrogance and entitlement

Woh relatability wali baat - I met this guy once in Andheri (met as in, I saw him) and I went and spoke to him aise hi. So he was so nice to talk to, he made me feel as if main apne dost se baat kar raha hu. In that 2 minutes meet he asked me questions about my life, about my career in film direction and screenwriting, cracked a couple of jokes and he went his way, saying, "Bhai now I have to go, milte hai baad mein." Aise koi aur actor baat nahi karta. So I think it's his simplicity and humbleness which connects. He never shows ki main star hu. Tum kaun ho? He is extremely honest about who he is. And that's what connects with the audiences.

I was never a huge fan of his but I started to pay attention when Love Aaj Kal movie happened due to of course Sara Khan. But what an amazing reflection this guy has shown throughout his Bollywood journey. It's always so nice and refreshing to hear the outsiders of film industry talk about themselves and their journey. The biggest disadvantage these so called star kids have is that we already know so much about them. There's absolutely ZERO curiosity or bonding when it comes to their journey. I am so pleased and happy for Kartik to have come this far and he's not only talented but very down to earth, speaks well and with such genuine look towards life. Love all the way from New Zealand.

The bond you share with a self-made star comes from a genuine place and starkids unfortunately hardly garner that affection in their careers. Self-made people go a long way in Bollywood if they learn the business well enough for example Priyanka, Akshay, Katrina, Shahrukh and many more. Kartik is on the track to massive stardom hope he delivers.

I don't think all "stars" are fan-made. There's quite a few actors currently that the audiences have not really accepted, but continue to get good work because of their proximity to producers... or a certain producer. And these actors are still hoping for the audience acceptance. But in Kartik's case, the fan love came first, and because of that more and more people in the industry wanted to work with him.
